I think you’re grossly overestimating how much it costs to make games here. Game development costs factor in salaries and the like when calculated, and most games do not cost hundreds of millions to make per year.

Having one payment processing system is better for the consumer though. I trust Google with my credit card info way more than I do Epic (which still isn’t all that high), and all that “overhead” for Epic just means that Google is incentivized to keep their payment system from getting compromised. Sure, Epic might give…
I don’t know if the video game audience is the same size as the board game audience. As Outrider mentioned, other well-known board games based on video games were also put on Kickstarter for fundraising.
I think putting these board games on Kickstarter isn’t a bad idea, as it gives the creators insight into how much…
No one is “stuck” in a Gold or Gamepass subscription. This isn’t a gym membership where they’ll all but take your first born child to keep you signed up. It’s one click on the website to cancel. “But I want the products offered though” is not being “stuck” in the subscription, that’s called... wanting the products…
Something I wish was covered in every article about gaming subscription plans is that there are ALWAYS deals on these prices at various points of the year, it’s really important to buy at the right time after watching for the deals. Discussing the off the shelf price is just silly, no one should bite at those prices.
I didn’t like that either!
I agree about the wolf, but for me its more about npc reactions (or lack thereof) that really put me off riding the crazy mounts in AC games.
I feel like I am the only person on earth who will play Cyberpunk at some point, but who also just kind of does not care about it at all.
pretty sure the aesthetic is for performance reasons.
So the price of a console for a device with a niche and largely exclusive market of “off brand” games that loses its key USP (tether-free) to play the games most gamers will want to play during a recession year competing against two new consoles launches that are increasingly diverse in market and a new GPU series…
What bar or club in Anytown, USA isn’t?
Since when is nihilism a sign of sexual predation? That is a leap.
I wouldnt go that way. Its the typical correlation vs causality Problem.
It’s better not to read too much into that. Torment is an old game and the Avellone of now (including the time span this articles refers to) is probably different than the Avellone from then.
Well, you know slavery didn’t exist until the early US colonies, and doesn’t exist today. So it’s obvious that people should draw this conclusion.
White and black hat goes back to old (lemme be retard) non-rainbowized (is that gonna be homophobic to say, retards?) cowboy movies. It’s how they told good and bad guys in silent movies. Is “silent” okay to say? Hope that don’t offend anybody.
It’s mostly derived from psychology as we associate a fear of darkness and…
I get master/slave. It isn’t really necessary at all, and more descriptive terms are actually better in most cases.
Somewhat similarly, the term “slave” did not originally have racial implications, as it existed before the modern concept of race. It derived from the ethnonym “Slav” (the Indo-European people).
This is interesting, because AFAIK the connotation of “black” being evil and “white” being good far predates the invention of race. So I rather doubt that “whitelist” and “blacklist” were originally intended with any sort of racial implication. (The opposite may be true: those espousing race theory may have selected…
You know what these companies should do instead of postponing their events? Keep the events on schedule and say a big fuck you to racists and trump at every occasion during said events.
