The biggest obstacle the Rift has to overcome is the fact it has to be treated as a separate gaming platform, with games that need to be almost exclusive to it. There are a lot of obstacles that go into designing a game to accommodate the Rift, so much that the game has to be practically made from the ground up with…

Actually I've heard of a couple that weren't as impressed as they'd like, but a lot of it had to do with them either not configuring the Rift beforehand or do so poorly, and/or testing the Rift with software not designed for it. Oh, and the fact they're using the heavily crippled devkit.

That's why populations naturally split and concentrate in separate regions of high activity much like the real world, with trade routes established bringing goods in from afar that would otherwise be either a hassle to get yourself or inaccessible to you.

I'll wait till I see unscripted gameplay.

I can tell he exaggerates things, but my interest isn't really in the reaction so much as the fact that the Rift is getting considerable exposure from his videos.

I enjoyed his Oculus Rift videos a bit, but only because I find just about any Oculus Rift reaction videos to be fun. The more exposure the Rift has the better.

I know. Sometimes I think the game honors dex builds a wee bit too much. :( Hopefully that is rectified in DS2.

Zaphander build is just beastly as it is, so I wouldn't doubt you plowing through stuff with it. I've personally been trying to get through with full Havel and Demon Hammer +15 on full str build. Four Kings does not take kindly to snail builds like that.

No sizzle reel that I'm aware of aside from some reaction compilations from people. However, there's three youtubers that do a good job giving commentary on various stuff on the Oculus, and one of them just does silent demos. There's Cymatic Bruce, arpvidz and David VR (silent).
