I thought those were cliched but mostly okay besides the end point of Natasha’s sterilization pretty obviously informing the way she chases after Banner. Bigger problem with those sequences is that her powers make no fucking sense. If it’s “worst fear” that’s one thing, but Thor’s actually seems to predict the future…

Someone was having a laugh. Marvel has done five movies so far with Robert Downey Jr., paying him so well that he’s now one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood. Meanwhile Scarlett did do a superhero movie (Lucy), and that movie’s total budget was about half of what RDJ makes in a year from Marvel.

I would bet what they’d pay her for a standalone Black Widow film isn’t even close to what they already paid Robert Downey Jr for each of the Iron Man movies.

The audience is there, for sure (and I’m one of them). I’d financially support the heck out of female superhero movies. But ya know. Hollywood. Men producers and directors. bleh.

Its great that we’re getting a Captain Marvel movie- but given that women make up like over half of the world’s population I think we could find it in our soft and tend hearts to financially support more than one female superhero movie
