We just went through this and these noisy fans (whom are likely a tiny minority) were dead wrong. The Mario movie was good and made a boat load of money.   There are obviously no guarantees and maybe a Zelda movie would flop, but I see no reason in light of the Mario movie as to why Nintendo and Illumination

The always-online bootlickers will claim that an offline mode would make things easier for cheaters because... reasons. I don’t think that makes sense, but I’m not a game developer, so I don’t know.

I am always baffled by people who say that always online is a good thing because it prevents cheated gear and leaderboard scores. Like, people care so much about how other people play the game that they’re willing to sacrifice a stable, reliable experience?

I think our country forgot the whole “land of the free”

I’m talking about nearly everything outside the temples and shrines (caves, camps, side quests). Very little of it feels worthwhile other than you kind of need to do some of them to grind rupees because the game is so stingy with them.

I have a love/hate relationship with TotK. It’s well made and I love the puzzles, but it’s really 90% grinding for money. So many side quests result in a bunch of broken weapons only to get an Opal in a chest or 50 rupees (or something equally disappointing). Sooooo much padding in this game.

Not sure what to take from that honestly, but it is just an announcement trailer.

The game is very tedious already.  I’m all for this stuff.

A lot of duplication glitches work by messing with menus or saves with this one being the former. And there are people that will start hunting for these exploits from day 1.

I’m honestly struggling with the desire to keep playing this game. They kept the weapon degradation and don’t seem to have nerfed it at all. Everything breaks so quickly. The fact they bothered to explain it in the story with everything deteriorating due to the gloom doesn’t make it any more fun as a mechanic. It

Nah. The game is already tedious enough. I’m using the map.  As for how “beautiful” the game is… I find it an eye sore at times.  Nintendo’s vision for the game clearly exceeded the hardware capability.

It’s still terrible in TotK. Between the weapon degradation, massive focus on the new powers, and fusing I feel like I’m spending half my time in a menu of some kind. It’s a good game, but (IMO) a bit of the magic from BotW is gone and it is rather tedious to play. It’s also really pushing the hardware. The

I knew there had to be at least one of you out there.

Yup.  I’m totally hyped for Tears of the Kingdom.  But there hasn’t been a single moment where I thought, “I hope they added a bunch of water areas to explore”.

My XBox is my platform of choice for most multi platform game because I enjoy the system and think they have the best online services. However, I’d be lying if I said I haven’t been disappointed in the first party releases.

Those games were expensive because of the cartridges.

One of the things players have been most hyped to uncover is full-fledged diving.

while even fans who pre-loaded the game are waiting to install a giant 128 GB day-one update.

I’ll defend them in certain cases. Mostly in cases where you have a F2P game and micro transactions are how the game makes money.  IMO these are fine as long as they aren’t loot box style or P2W.
