Dark Souls is absolutely not. In gamer culture, sure, but that isn’t the same thing.

It’s amusing how many blood stains there are around any lift in ER. Activating one inevitably shows some poor tarnished run straight to the lift and then down the shaft to their death.

This is what you need, my friend (should you decide to give ER a shot):

The series has been mainstream for a decade, I have no idea why Claire is trying to say otherwise here.

Now playing

How would you introduce the Greater Will, Marika, gravity magic, aliens, underground cities, etc on top of Dark Souls lore?

My kids were playing their games fine, but I couldn’t launch Elden Ring.  I kept getting kicked back to the dashboard with an error saying I needed to be online to play the game despite the fact I was quite clearly logged into XBox Live.

Most people wouldn’t get away with publicly cursing out their employer.  Play stupid games….

It’s a mix of 343 having a shaky track record and MP fan bases often being insufferable. I really don’t know how devs put up with these whiny idiots.

You have to multiple by 100 at the end to get it into %.

Wait… so staffs and seals can stack?  I’ve finished the game and never realized this.

It really doesn’t sound that much better with that stuff left in.

feel that is precisely the root cause of all of this unfortunately.

I still don’t understand how they could fumble this so badly thus far. All they had to do was make another Black Flag with more pirate and less assassin. That’s it! That is what nearly everyone wanted.

Honestly, I’m not sure this is something that should be legally mandated either. I do wish companies would consider it though. I can go back and play basically any game from my childhood in its entirety.  I think it’s a shame how often that won’t be true for kids today.

Any self-hosted progression persisting backend would just result in servers that would permit users to shortcut progression entirely, leaving developers making it difficult to justify the economics of building progression systems at all.

I’d rather almost any other video game pub/dev acquire Ubisoft than a PE firm even if that mean their IPs become exclusive in some fashion. I know Ubisoft have lost their way a bit and have cross pollinated their different IPs too much, but they still have a lot of games in their history that I have greatly enjoyed

You’re correct. They’re more like leeches. Tangentially related… fuck Bain Capital.

Elden Ring and Outriders, Dragonball Xenoverse, use the Theory of Asymetrical power balance. True balance comes from allowing stuff to be powerful, and buffing other stuff to the overpowered content.

They definitely messed with it. I tried it after the patch and it failed every single time at a location where it worked 100% of the time before the patch. So I looked online and apparently it still works, but there are now certain places where you have to stand and even then it may fail every once in a while. If

The best time to play From games is early on before they patch out all the fun stuff.
