You could say the same about the game. Whoever thought it was a good idea to make D2R identical to D2 (No bug fixes. No class balance) made a produce that has no place to exist.

Same. I refuse to ride on surface streets except in short stretches where I need to get from one paved multi-use trail to another. Thankfully the area where I live has an ever expanding network of paved trails.
It is decidedly not a review. You can just click on the reviews link and see it is not in there. Kotaku themselves doesn’t classify this as a review. The whole article can be summed up this way: “Here is a reminder of all the bad things Blizzard has done. And Diablo 2 still plays like Diablo 2.”
Does it not? I haven’t tried it yet, but I see an offline option when creating characters.
EXACTLY. I hate the same argument when applied to any fast food. Is there higher quality food out there? Of course. But they all have their unique taste and sometimes I want that. So STFU.
It’s the same for the bottom line, yes. But businesses exist to sell something. In this case games. Not buying because the product doesn’t meet expectations is just business. And to some degree that would be the fault of more than just a handful of upper management.
There is a whole paragraph dedicated to listing their issues with links to other articles about those issues. Also, this isn’t a review. But, sure, I’m the one with the reading comprehension issue.
OK, fair enough. You make a good point.
That feels a bit disingenuous. Not buying a game because it simply does interest you or because you don’t think it is good enough is wholly different than boycotting games because of the behavior of management at a company. There is genuine argument that the latter hurts the abused just as much as the abusers if not…
IMO PoE is the true spiritual successor to D2. It’s much more like D2 than D3 has ever been. It has the same feel while also being much deeper and has an actual notable end game.
I didn’t say it bashed specifically on Vicarious Visions. But it most definitely takes shots at Blizzard. And the point I was making about D2R is exactly as I said. The author is just stating the obvious. Of course it still feels like D2. Blizzard isn’t trying to “hide” anything as stated by the subheading. Which…
LOL… this article does feel like it exists just to bash on Blizzard some more. I don’t think anyone is surprised that Diablo II still feels like Diablo II. Especially given it is mostly a remaster with a small number of tweaks thrown in.
Yeah, other than the server issues I’m loving the game. And, TBF, I got a crap ton of disconnects back when the game was in its prime too. So I’m not even sure that is all that different.
That’s good to know. I’m still pro-personal loot either way. The scramble for loot was annoying back in the day and now (IMO) there are even more trolls and assholes online which doesn’t make it any better.
I just see a bunch of greedy assholes that snatch everything decent up. Not that exciting to me.
These are terrible excuses. You do not need to add account bound items or limit sharing to time limits or people playing with you or whatever else.
Furthermore, it appears that modders get the choice of what skin color their creation takes, seemingly illustrating that the game’s community would rather cater to whiteness.
Odd. I hate problems like that with no clear consistency.
That and just because they dislike one part of game doesn’t mean they dislike the game overall. I LOVED BotW, but I really hated the durability system. It was just something I put up with in the game because everything else was so much fun.
I’ve never had any issues with sleep mode. Generally I play my XBox more, but I have completed several games on my PS5 and haven’t seen anything tied with sleep mode. Your games crash when trying to resume them after sleep?
