The problem is what happens next time someone with an actual handicap runs into a similar situation? The internet is cynical enough. We don’t some professor making it more so to prove some point where there is already ample evidence.

Gamers blow their lids over nonsensical crap all the time. The fact some group was upset means almost nothing on the surface. It’s my opinion this is not a big deal. That’s it.

At the expense of others?  Nah.

Anyone ahead of you in the queue starts the “race” before you too. They didn’t start early they got put at the front of the queue for their initial play session. So they saved and hour or two which is drop in the bucket in a game like PoE. Plus, come on, the ladders on PoE are kind of meaningless anyway. It

Again, we are talking about a tiny handful of paid advertisers. If you are 20K back in the queue to play you think having a few streamers get in at the front makes any meaningful impact on your wait time? No, it doesn’t.

Honestly, who gives a shit? They are being paid to advertise the game. I put it into the same category as professional reviewers being given copies of games for free and/or early. And it’s not like having a handful of promoters wait in line is going to improve everyone else’s wait to time to any noticeable degree.

There are plenty of real world examples to use without creating one yourself. One that will make people more likely to distrust similar claims in the future.

Uhh… what? Whether the guy is a teacher or not this was a shitty thing to do. This isn’t a case of jumping to conclusions.  There is no slant needed. What is your point here?

I’d argue it is rarely as simple as you make it sound. Early on, yeah, you can mostly just keep picking up the higher level items because you are leveling quickly anyway. But even then and you can find blues with higher DPS than yellows at the same levels. Whether then yellow/rare is better depends on the other

So you don’t like loot games.

The discussion is about loot games.  They are speaking within that context.

They did it all anyway.

You really don’t have to do any of that while progressing to the end game. You’ll level so fast tiny differences are usually meaningless. Once you get to the end game that is where you are starting to look at incremental differences for progression.

Have they? Even though it has been a few years I liked the more recent TR games and most recent Hitman has been well reviewed.

So far so good. The comments are currently full of people complaining about the hate, but none of the actual predicted hate.

Hmm… strange. But that’s how bugs are sometimes. I only asked about the power thing because I saw similar messages on my PS4 after we would have a power outage of some kind while my PS4 was in rest mode. I assume the PS5 will do the same thing, but no power outages yet since I got my PS5.

I had to learn to do that. I used push through games I wasn’t enjoying because I wanted to get “my money’s worth”. Eventually I learned it just was not worth it and, yes, potentially unhealthy.

I’m pretty sure he means never played. And a lot of people do that. It’s crazy how many people load up on Steam sales or the like and never get around to playing those games.

No pile of shame here. I rarely buy games I don’t intend to play relatively soon nor do I buy games just because they are on sale. I do buy games on sale, but only if I will have the chance to play them soon. Otherwise I’ll just wait for the next sale.

Crafty COVID.
