Still, you can’t blame the players for reacting like this! FIFPro, individual player associations, clubs and agents could all have done a better job of explaining this and educating the players before it ever got to the point they were questioning this publicly.

Ditto. For pretty much the same reasons. Most of the mainstay Nintendo franchises fell flat for me on the GameCube. Plus, I really hated that terrible controller.  It was different for the sake of being different with no tangible benefits.

Would you even want it this early? Is the day one patch live yet?  Because they delayed the release to work on the patch, correct?

Sure, it’s possible things like preferences and hand size make a difference. However, the OP claims the sticks are fine. Yet, as I described above, the sticks and d-pad are placed the same distance away from where your thumb would rest. So hand size is irrelevant. If he can reach and use the sticks fine then he can

Nearly all of your examples are MP games or have a very heavy MP focus. I think the concept of “live” games works with these types of games. I don’t think it works so well with fundamentally single player games. So I doubt we’ll ever reach the point where there are no distinct sequels.

Interesting. For what it’s worth I’ve just been using a multi port Anker USB charger that I also use to charge my iPad and other devices. I’m also not using the supplied cable. The controller seems to charge fine.

Sony needs to get their crap together as far as their OS goes. This sort of crap plagued the PS4 too. Their OS is so damn fragile. It always needs to rebuild databases or whatever and God forbid you unplug an external drive or experience a power outage without “ejecting” the drive first. There’s a good chance the

I tried a few minutes.  It’s very underwhelming.

So now I’m home from work and have a controller in my hand and still see no difference. When I rest my thumb on the d-pad the portion directly above the center is my the middle of my thumb right behind my fingernail. When I rest my thumb on the face buttons, as you propose, it’s exactly the same thing. The center

I still don’t see it. I have no problems using the d-pads on XBox controllers. And I was using it just last night playing Tetris Connected on Game Pass.

That’s a completely different argument.  I’m not saying they have been historically good d-pads, but they are positioned fine.

First, I’m not sure that’s actually true. Because it’s further away from what? I can hold the controller and easily rest my thumb on the d-pad and not feel like I’m reaching for anything. You have to reach up to use the sticks. The d-pad and face buttons are on the same plane as the body of the controller.  And if

Yeah, I found an image of the whole tree that I refer to when deciding where to head next and can’t recall exactly what is where.

The offset sticks on Xbox are fine... until you need to play a sidescroller on a D-Pad that may as well be UNDER the controller you have to reach down so far to use it.

None of that was in play here though.

I’ve been doing this on small scales. I’ll spend a few to de-fog an area, reclaim them, and then spend a few in another direction to de-fog that area.  I haven’t done the whole tree though.

The load times are a huge improvement. Though right now I’d say it’s more of a QoL improvement than a literal game changing feature. Although that could change. The trailers we’ve seen for the new Ratchet & Clank seem to be leveraging the quick loading to actually make a meaningful change in how the game plays.

But this is arguably just the point we’ve reached in gaming. Not much is really going to match the jump from 2D to 3D. Now it’s mostly just eye candy like ray tracing rather than anything that transforms how you play games and I don’t think that has anything to do with whether or not the X1X and PS4 Pro had been

Does it still work on Allant?

Haha... No, I’m not saying the game was already easy as a boast. That would be a very Souls reply. Half the bosses in the original could be beaten with cheesy exploits that basically required no effort. In several cases literally no fight at all.
