It’s been years since I played the game, but I remember there was one boss that would just fall down a chasm and die if you backed up, one that you could kill through the fog wall, Flame Lurker would get hung up on rubble in one spot, and Old King Allant could be killed without a fight with the Thief Ring and poison

The original game basically did have an easy mode. Between the duplication glitch and several bosses having easy exploits there were plenty of options for making the game easier. From what I’ve read so far they fixed the exploits.  So not only did they not add an easy mode they arguably made the game harder.

Pretty much. Even the X|S sold all their pre-orders. So for both systems these are just production and allotment numbers.

For me it’s probably what I’m doing. I’m primarily a mountain biker and spend most of my time off road. However, I do have a road bike for times when maybe the off roads trails are too muddy or I’m just out riding with the family. I don’t ride on actual surface streets (I don’t trust car drivers) so I spend all my

What is “crap like this”...not paying attention to your gearing? Mixing old parts and realizing not everything works well together?

I’ve had almost no issues with the standard controllers anyway and I’ve had a fair number across this last gen with my original X1, my kids’ X1S and then the X1X. I had one that I managed make the opening in the plastic shell around the left stick wider due to a massive amount of FIFA at one point. I just bought a

I question how premium the Elite series is when it has had a ton of QC issues.  And now all XBox controllers feel antiquated thanks to the DualSense.

I have a friend with an XSX and it was crashing on Cold War constantly. Then they noticed they had pre-loaded it on their X1 and since Activision isn’t supporting Smart Delivery they were still running the X1 version. After downloading the X/S version is stopped crashing completely. Not that it should crash on the

Honestly, the XBox controllers have been far and way my favorites for a couple of generations, but the PS5 controller is simply amazing. Even though I do prefer offset stick placement the PS5 controller makes the XBox controller feel antiquated.

The sad part is that I imagine people here at Kotaku would be the first to argue that game developers should not be working for free, but the lack of foresight makes them essentially argue that THEY SHOULD, by proposing delays in situations where it’s very much obvious the team didn’t have a big enough budget as is

Ahh... I think I was long pressing from home the Home Screen looking for the power options. So it didn’t do anything there.

I have a minor gripe. Why are the exterior lights white? All the promotional material shows them as blue, but the only time I think I saw blue was during set-up. I thought the blue looked nice. It’s kind of disappointing.

Yeah, it’s very busy. Instead of allowing your own background every section has its own. That alone makes the whole thing feel messy. Like I’m looking at a dozen home screens.

But, really, why move it at all? As far as I can tell a long press does nothing now. The new UI snappy, but it’s kind of a busy mess too.

Because it’s easier to type out that way.  That and the orientation makes it look like an X.

If you had started gaming before the PS you would think the opposite. Sony is the only one that takes this “Opposite” stance on cancel / confirm button placement.

Yes. I played docked 99% of the time and a Pro is what I use outside games like Mario Party that require individual JoyCons. And, being completely honest here, I barely recall the Pro even rumbling. The Switch’s rumble has just made no lasting impression on me.  The only time the rumble has even really been notable

You’re not supposed to put the controller in your mouth.

It’s MUCH better in the DualSense. I’ve never really be all that impressed with the JoyCon rumble, but I was genuinely blown away playing Astro’s Playroom on the DualSense. And, really, it’s how the whole package works together. The rumble is fantastic, but then they combine that with sounds from the speaker. So,

Judge us as good you mean.  Inverted is the correct way to do it.
