Yeah, it was basically just a refresh lottery. I just got errors.

These are going to sell anyway. All the retailers gain by selling to bots is angry customers.
At this point I just wish they would allow Game Pass. I’d rather play those games.
Or, crazy idea here, retailers could try and control the bots so normal customers could buy the product they want!
I don’t think MS was ever going to drop support. It was Sony that initially balked at the idea of having the Bedrock build of MC because they didn’t want to have the cross platform play. It’s the same they pulled with Fortnite for a while then they hijacked everyone’s Fortnite accounts and wouldn’t let any accounts…
Maybe? There are a fair number of people that you’ll never get to transition to an actual PC. They just want a box for games under their TV and their mobile devices handle everything else. You can get into a bit of a semantic debate, but I’m not sure it would be a smart idea to move away from RTR living room gaming…
People keep saying that yet their largest shareholder is a South African conglomerate.
It might be a simple problem to identify, but it’s one you can’t really fix. Nearly any highly anticipated product of this type is going to have demand that exceeds supply. They are all going to be bought up. Then you will always have people with more money than sense or at least just so much cash that paying a…
I’m saying that shouldn’t matter. Of course people want something new. Also, these are not necessarily going to be the same people. Most people that miss out on a pre-order aren’t going to run out and spend an exorbitant amount on eBay.
But that would actually be OK. That would slow down the bots to actually be slower than the humans. Not much you can really do about humans being involved.
Exactly this. Don’t get on your hypocritical high horse and preach about FOMO. That’s the not the problem. The problem is the damn bots. Customers just wanting to buy a new product shouldn’t have to be competing with bots.
For me it was SSX. I loved that game and played the hell out of it.
Sure, but you need people to buy the first models or your slim model never happens.
*over 20K PS5 preorders
There’s a chance fewer bots were ready, but I’d wager many were ready to go. Especially since places like Amazon and Walmart had put up PS5 landing pages a couple of weeks ago. And bots aren’t tricked by Sony saying things like preorders go live the next day. They’re tireless and don’t get bored. If they’re set up…
I think crashing will be the biggest concern. If retailers do stick to the date/time then at least the bots will have more human competition.
I’ve noticed that too. There a crap ton of people that didn’t get one, but I’ve seen quite few that did get one say they got multiple. So we have bots buying them up for scalpers and other customers getting multiple.
I think we play very similar games. Those 3 games are probably at the top of my list too. I may also get the Demon’s Souls remake as I loved the original, but the $7o price point stings. So it might have to wait until I work my way through the others.
and for some reason, you ignored that in the case of Epic; 80% of its player base is on console (again, where Epic is paying their 30% cut with absolutely no resistance), while talking about mobile phones replacing the PC.
Agreed. I played through IX again just a couple of weeks ago when it appeared on Game Pass. I didn’t think of IX once watching this trailer.
