I thought it worked well because the Remedy Video Game Universe have been easter eggs in their titles and and having it all finally come together explicitly was fantastic for me. I’m probably more into their games than most though....

I usually play on hard and will adjust down if I’m not having fun after a few hours. Games handle difficultly differently so I need to judge it first. I usually don’t enjoy a game unless I die a whole bunch of times until I git gud. I was never like this until Bloodborne lol.

Nope. If buying the game got you the same amount of stuff as Reach for example I think they would have been fine with mtx for anything created after but having to pay for the color blue in a Halo game really drove home the fact that this is a compactly different beast.

This. I’m not a cosmetics person so I don’t have the pass but I can still feel it when players drop out immediately or play in ways that are clearly unnatural in order to grind out whatever they need to do. I don’t even blame them. Progression has to change for everyone’s enjoyment.
