I have the same question. I don’t mind taking a harder path if it opens up new narrative possibilities. I like a little role playing in my RPG’s. It would suck if it just causes you to lose content like quests and skill points that you would get by playing nice.

Don’t do any of the side quests then. I liked the boss fights and the side quests had some good ones but they can be hard. I enjoyed that this game felt more old school to me in that I died a lot during more difficult sections. So many games today are more akin to interactive movies than challenges.
