I’ve been thinking about what vehicles would be great with a solid axle swap. The Commander is one of the ones I thought would be a good candidate. Utilitarian looks, upclass interiors, low upfront cost, decent parts availability.

Well, then a fool I am. I just picked up a 4 door JL rubicon soft top with 6apd manual. Granted, I got a significant discount , which brought it to a JK price point. Still pricey no doubt. But, it was my dream car (Well, a rubicon period... But I like the JL’s trick soft top and some of the interior features). Plus,…
good for you, Someone needs to love the unloved. Me personally... I’m a Pinto wagon man
Steel blue indeed. Unfortunately I have the black and white interior. But Bilstein 5100s all around, and its a beast in the winter on nokian hakkapeliittas and the quadra drive 2. Cheap, comfy, capable.
Love my wifes DD XK
I’ve definitely been intrigued by the Commander. Saw a nice one kitted out for off-roading that had me chasing it down on the road to get a better look at it.
Wow. An XK person!

Hey look! I found David’s neighbor!

IT’S A JEEP THING YOU WOULDN’T UNDERSTAND
Correct! When someone wrecks because of suddenly closed lanes the news van has to explain to its insurance carrier just what the fuck they were thinking.
More like Warren, Michelin, amirite?
The Accord is the right answer. Its already “Jesus Approved”!
Ha, are you my long-lost twin brother? Images I created long ago to help explain my disgust for the Odyssey:
So did he drive it like an idiot or a maniac?
They’ve always been pro tread-lightly. The ‘aesthetic’ is more a lifestyle statement, of “hey, get outside and do something” than a “hey you should go fuck up some nature because you have a jeep” lol.
Taking things out of context is always a good way to make an argument, I guess.
Eh not really 21st century more just prevalence of these stories due to the internet. There is any number of groups out there that have been complaining about televised ads for some BS reason since the first televised ad.
