You’re right about FC. Although it’s often quite a bit more expensive, there are times when it’s very close to a coach seat. Also, if your travel dates are fixed and the “bargain” frequent flier mile seats are gone, sometimes there are still bargain FC seats available - it may be just as cheap (in miles) to fly FC.
