It is surprising how far he has gotten considering his violent, unsavory, hate crime filled background. I just reread his wiki page. I’m all for second chances. But it is really bad.

In fairness to Emma Stone, her character, based on a real person, was supposed to be one quarter Asian but look completely white and compensated by often mentioning her Asian heritage.  Perhaps tone deaf, but that was the character.
