It is funny that Burlington, the big city, doesn’t have one. Yet out here in Essex, the suburban town 10 miles away, I’ve got two with a few miles of each other to choose from.

The McDonalds is in Berlin. I’d buy that Montpelier is zoned not to have one. The only fast food I can think of in city limits is Subway, which is a storefront in an old building downtown, not a standalone building.

There’s a McDonalds a few miles from downtown Montpelier in Berlin on the Barre-Montpelier road.. If you had a hankering it isn’t a far ride to get you some. And Montpelier isn’t THAT far off the highway. A mile, maybe two.

“Any Given Sunday” was also unwatchable.

There’s a scene at the beginning of Now, Voyager where Claude Rains is in Bette Davis’ bedroom and asks for a cigarette. She gets angry because she was tying to keep her smoking a secret. But all I could think was “her bedroom probably smells like an ashtray. I doubt he had to go full Sherlock Holmes to figure it…
