It’s still batshit to me that Toyota or Mazda doesn’t just badge engineer this thing and federalize it. Would sell like fucking bonkers over here

It’s an utter travesty that it isn’t 4WD as these things are WAY better than you’d think on the trail. That said, easy nice price, and I’m not the only one that feels that way since it’s already deleted
I love my Alltrack, but no way in hell is it fitting 4 grown adults in any sort of comfort.
I was hovering over the ND mental button, then I smashed it when I saw 2 pedals and 3 speed
The S8 had air suspension—rode amazing and never once gave me a problem. I used to put it into lift mode and drive it down the gravel beach access road
My old D3 S8 had some of the best factory wheels I can recall
Though I’d bet if the absolutely asinine 25 year rule didn’t exist and we made it 10 there would be a massive industry in the UK/EU to prep cars for export back to the US
BMW has entered the chat
Absolutely accurate
Interested to hear your top 5 wheel designs as a wheel designer [best factory wheels in your opinion]
The chunkiness of wheels isn’t really bad depending on design [see first gen S4 and many other examples]
I’ve driven a C5 manual convertible extensively [relative owns one] and have driven a Z06 twice. Completely different cars. The minor exterior tweaks pale in comparison to the feel of the engine/suspension/etc. I’m sure the C5 coupe is plenty fine, but the Z06 is a different animal.
Man, GM in the 80s and 90s really knew how to perfect a shit automotive interior experience. That said, this is a pretty decent looker and the C4 is growing on me as I really really don’t like the C5 [unless it’s a Z06].
Makes total sense to anyone in a snowy area who would want to use one year round. AWD is ubiquitous up here in New England, so why not offer it? BMW is pulling manuals out of almost everything along with everyone else, and long ago abandoned its “purity”, so I don’t see the problem here
This has got to be the nicest older Town Car in existence, from days when these still had some presence on the road. A friend’s Dad growing up owned the local Lincoln-Mercury dealership and I remember riding around in the back of one of these felt like the lap of luxury. My own Dad bought a Lincoln Mark VIII when they…
My Dad had a first gen Allroad, Moss green metallic with the green interior...I loved it....when it ran. That was the most plagued vehicle he ever owned, and he had a 1984 928
How are you in the greys?
Mercedes manuals suck. Their autos on the other hand are very good...Merc is probably the only manufacturer where I’d prefer an auto to a manual. I have driven several 190Es and early C-class cars with auto and manual and preferred the autos on every one
Running TE less than 5K is an auto-NP. And this one is already gone so the market agreed. That said, I’d prefer any color except for this one [how is it that seemingly 80% of W124s shipped out in Gold over brown]?
Well, Rob, let me be the first to congratulate you on a perfect No Dice week.
