Malkovich malkovich? Malkoviiiiiiich!
I thought they were called “The Lost Years of Merlin”. Regardless, I will watch the hell out of this, I LOVED those books, and even on the re-read they’re damn good.
Right, and it makes perfect sense to assert those rights to point out the hypocricy of religion dictating what is taught in schools (which is insane), or other preferential government treatment given to a church doctrine.
I though the FSM was a great way to make a point about the board of education (Kansas, I believe?) forcing kids to learn Creationism. Allowing one whackadoodle belief into the school system is, logically, opening the gates to teaching absolute nonsense all day, even if it’s ridiculous, even if it’s about pasta –…
Oh, I’m so sorry, dear. Here’s my wisdom, for what it’s worth:
There’s no need for Stewart to be so prickly about it.
I know the trademark thing sounds stupid, and it is kind of stupid, but it became less stupid when I learned a bit about trademark law.

OK but where is Claudia (clearly the BEST character)??
I don’t disagree with you on the diversity front, but I think a big strength of the HP books is the very minimal character description. Generally, unless it somehow factored into the story, character descriptions were left out. It was only in book 7 that we were even told Ron’s eye colour.
It’s not surprising at all from Ian Fleming, but it’s not necessarily ridiculous to have certain expectations of non-modern writers. Arthur Conan Doyle was pretty damn progressive for his time (main character only ever outsmarted by a woman, and was cool with it). And that was like, 1890. Fleming doesn’t get a free…
There’s a quote from Hard Candy that sums it up pretty well: “Just because a child knows how to imitate a woman does not mean she is ready to do what a woman does.”
Honestly, the only way I can imagine stopping police brutality against black people would be to de-militarize the police. They’d probably still be racist but at least they couldn’t shoot people.
Creepy. Also she’s not a natural redhead. Sorry not sorry to rain on your discomfiting parade.
You really missed an opportunity there to say “YOU BLOW, JOBS.”
Please do! :)
That’s when you say, “Yes, car regulations are stupid. Taking a test to drive one is ridiculous. Having car use policed violates our rights. Anyone, regardless of age, background, criminal record, and competency should be allowed a car. In fact, you shouldn’t even have to learn to drive before buying one. Right, Uncle…
No, I mean like the low-level scumsuckers who shout abuse at people walking into clinics. I wasn’t thinking politicians would be held accountable. THAT’S just ridiculous.
As everyone else has said, this info will absolutely get leaked and that is fucking terrifying for these women, holy shit.
