This one is simpler than that.  Musk was spouting a bunch of bullshit the other day.  He himself got fact-checked by this system.  His fragile ego couldn’t allow that, so here we are.

Every time you log on to Twitter (and all other social media sites), you should have to perform a Captcha, but instead of pictures of boats, you have to pick images of the words which make up a randomly-selected sentence along the lines of:

Free speech has always had limits, namely others do as well so can call bullshit and say shut the fuck up dumbass, just can’t do so on X anymore. The healthcare stuff is what gets me the most, they’ll listen to Jenny McCarthy on vaccines and not people who have devoted several decades of their lives to learning and

That’s exactly what happened. I bet when Musk first committed to buying Twitter the Saudis had a collective orgasm and couldn’t believe their luck. So much easier to manipulate one authoritarian egomaniac who needed their money in private than a public company with a board.

Totally in line with Elon being a “free speech absolutist”—as long as we’re only talking about Elon’s speech on twitter.com. And anything he approves of, propaganda from China and Russia, apparently meets his free speech bar too.

It was a US-only thing. Election misinformation, COVID & vaccine misinformation, you could never report those in Canada.

If you look into Musk’s history at all, it does really seem to indicate that he is actually this stupid.

So what’s the most likely scenario at this point? Did the Saudi’s know how stupid Musk is so they helped fund this Twitter purchase to ruin Twitter as a tool for political dissidents, or is everything and everyone actually this stupid and nothing matters?

Gizmodo reached out to X for comment but received an auto-reply that said: “Busy now. Please check back later.”

I mean I do too, and it’s a smart move getting away from their proprietary engine, it’s just a shame given how much time and money they’ve invested in the product.

I actually get it. Why continue working (that is, fixing) on your own engine when there’s a perfectly good one that someone else is working on for you?

It’s really a damn shame that after 3 years of patches and updates, all we’re getting is a single expansion, and that’s it.

I’d be more interested if DeLonge wasn’t a full on ‘believer’. He seems to honestly believe that the government has been hiding smoking guns and that never gets shaken even when the government holds congressional hears and says “yeah, here’s the stupid bullshit we have” and it shows no smoking guns.

Your opinion isn’t wrong, but misguided. Yes, parents need to parent and are responsible for their child’s well-being, but when are they supposed to do that? There are only so many minutes of the day a parent (even with ample free time with their child) can observe their online interactions.

Jobs now versus no jobs in the future because we’re all dead is a price everyone should understand is more than worth paying, unless you’re a sociopath.

Mixing in tobacco is just NASTY. I suspect that Europeans got in the habit because they used to get mostly hash (at least in terms of anything worth smoking), which would have to be mixed with something if you want to smoke it in a joint. To me, that’s just a waste of good hash. Adding tobacco to your weed is like

To be fair, IRL a good sandwich will make you feel better but they’re not known for their extraordinary healing properties.

I assumed they were just visual flavour for vendor trash, ive been selling them all while my stockpile of medkits is ever growing. They probably went a bit overboard with the medical treatments as well having lots of different items for treating different combinations of status affliction injuries, rather than the

I’d be shocked if this lawsuit makes it to the discovery phase.  Or gets filed in the first place.  He’s full of shit.
