Out of curiosity, why do men have to want to do the "lady things" just because women "are doing the man things"? Perhaps it's just that the title of this article is starting to piss me off, but I think that gender issues aside, it's about compromise, and men learning to compromise with their wife/sig other/roommate

Yes, of course I understand that, but I think in the comments section counter arguments should also get a bit of credit.

I don't hate the song, but I hate her voice.

Agree. I actually cannot believe that line appears in this article period as it just reinforces gender stereotypes that I thought Jezebel exists to counter/suppress.

There are some men out there that do the cleaning & laundry - such as my husband. But, since I'm not "popular" enough on here, my attempts at making that comment remain grayed out. Jezebel, you should actually promote comments such as that, and actually give credit to the men who do not fit the "norm" that you are

My husband's definition of "clean" is much more aggressive/thorough than mine.. He laughs at my version of "clean".

My husband does all the cleaning and laundry (but is not a SAHD). Perhaps he should start offering classes or publish "how to" to guides on these chores for men....

In your list of items worth noting re: staying at home; you forgot to include innate maternal guilt or guilt society places on women if they choose to continue to commit to their career and the husband opts to stay home. Sometimes women don't even discuss this, but the guilt is there in the subconscious of their mind

Darn it, I was so going to post this gif!!!! Nice work!

The frequency of these stories is increasingly disturbing. Is it just that camera phones and social media are causing the attackers to flaunt their acts because they feel untouchable/infallible (basically digging their own graves); or are these acts truly becoming more prominent in our society, with the perps actually

He should take a walk through some of the stores for adolescent girls. If there are "My Little Pony" shirts they are full of glitter, the pony is sporting a "come hither" wink, and the shirt is sold next to a pair of shorts that are so short the pockets are longer than the actual denim.

Seemingly "unattractive" women are also raped. To say that it's merely about one's physical appearance is taking an incredibly superficial view on rape as an action, and as a crime. Besides the fact that it further blames the victim, it neglects the fact that rape is often about violating someone, abusing them,

cont'd: Also, I am not trying to sway your opinion of me, as I know that is 100% not possible. I just repeat this story in the hope that other women who went through something similar read it, realize they are not alone, and that there are other people mourning and grieving with them. My story has the power to

My "baby" would not have been "disabled". It would have been on a machine its entire life, incapable of controlling its own movements and functions. It was missing a linkage between hemispheres and huge portion of his brain that just never developed. Even if he could have survived, he never would have functioned.

meth on the left and lemon drop shots on the right! She is ready to par-tay!!!

Our decision was the largest act of empathy, love and compassion we could have given our fetus. We will forever carry the burden of pain so that he will not have to do so; if he even made it through gestation, which was highly unlikely, and if he died in utero, my life was also in danger due to a clotting disorder.

Agree and I work in the same industry. Sadly, that's why I "sold out", abandoned the bench and my doctoral work, got my MBA and moved over to strategy and pipeline management/business development (M&A and the like). Sadly, I think I was happier as a disenchanted scientist, because at least I felt like I was doing

Then they should be forced to live the life that child would have led - even if only for a day.

I love you, Dr. Scott.
