Burnham definitely set some firm boundaries, but I didn’t think Lorca seemed particularly upset by them (though there are certainly darker ways to interpret that, too).
Lorca wanting to get in Burnham’s pants override common sense
Fair enough. I’m actually pretty impressed with the level of Star Trek knowledge displayed by the writers in interviews and the like.
That would be such an incredible self-inflicted wound. I have to think the writers are smarter than that.
I hope you’re right. I do think this show has some significant issues, largely related to its breakneck pacing. Zack is also right about it being unclear thematically, but it’s still very early days, and there’s nothing that can’t be fixed.
Not sure why Terrans would side with the Klingons, but sure, why not?
I feel like I have no idea what they’re going to do next.
I just wish the editing had been better.
Well, they never received the data to crack the cloaking device. It was pretty clear they were in deep shit if they couldn’t figure that out.
As always, I think Zack’s core criticism are accurate.
Thank you for mathing that.
Hopefully it’s a leash attached to a harness, not a collar.
I actually like DeVoe, for whatever reason.
She and Kristen Bell would make beautiful babies together.
I unabashedly love that all the parents on this show are cartoon characters.
This is Riverdale. When every boy in the school looks like that, and is apparently Extremely Into Sports, you’re gonna need to have tryouts for everything.
Camila Mendes has that character down cold.
When exactly did his massacre occur...Toni’s granddad talks like this massacre happened in the lifespan of people he knew. Greene’s getting on in years, but he’s not that old.
No, you’re definitely right, but for better or worse, I think the word “allergy” gets thrown around in a dismissive way, even though they can be life-threatening.
