Not wrong. I just personally don’t see the left winning the next election whether the candidate is a liberal or a progressive, because the right is able to unite behind a terrible candidate like Trump even when a large number of Republicans don’t like him. The left couldn’t get behind Hillary even when it meant we’d

yes... Bernie didn’t seem to have much of a command on the issues, although he had great messaging, and Hillary was as knowable as they come. Bernie’s apparent lack of knowledge and seeming lack of interest in building that knowledge truly worried me. Hillary was also a voice for women and children before it was

Yes. I don’t want to relitigate some of the nastiness that surrounded the democratic primary, but my preference for Hillary over Bernie (sorry, never considered Stein) emanated from my perception that he has not seriously tried to advance his agenda in Congress. All talk. Very little attempts to collaborate with his

They figured Hillary had more of a shot of actually getting progressive policies through congress. Bernie only hitched his wagon to the dems for the election and his policies tended to lack specifics and Jill Stein understands gov’t only marginally more than Trump.

Of course he doesn’t want to be a dictator. He simply wants to muzzle the press, run the government like a private business, surround himself with yes-men and imprison anyone who disagrees with him. What’s the word for someone like that?

As a news junky this is exhausting to keep up with and nothing less than crazy. The news cycle is batshit to say the least. It’s only been a month and there’s been scandal-level news nearly every day. This is not sustainable.

There is a line in this old movie I love, ‘Butterflies are Free’, where young Goldie Hawn is talking about her mother, who has multiple ex-husbands, explaining, “Obviously, she likes getting married, but she doesn’t like being married.”

Of course he doesn’t want to be a dictator. He just wants Americans to do and think what he tells them and adore him for it.

This is insane. I am legitimately terrified of the damage this man could do.

Of course he doesn’t want to be a dick-tater! He wants to be a dictator!!

I don’t necessarily blame them. Funding for NPR is on the chopping block. I don’t know. I’d rather they exist and do their best to be nonpartisan than be obliterated. God, this fucking sucks.

Of course he doesn’t want to be a dictator. He just wants to run for President for the rest of his life. He fucking loves doing that.

It’s so bad. She spells out the sexist manager’s logic in the full blog. Apparently he got a discount by buying the mens’ jackets in bulk, and from this fact he drew the conclusion that buying the jackets for the women would be unfair to the men because he would have to spend more money on the women then on the men,

McCain is the ultimate bait and switch. We know he has the capacity to do the right thing, even when it goes against his party, but since January every time he gives a glimmer of hope he’s failed to follow through.

Until McCain actually does something, anything aside from flapping his gums but supporting that flaming bag of orange peels at the same, he can take a seat.

Stefon voice: We’ve got everything; generals, dictators, secret agents and Sean Spicer riding around on a motorized podium playing “Hail to the Chief” on a kazoo.

Um, which dictators were they hiring and where were they planning to put them?

Wait, why is he interviewing dictators for a position in his cabinet?!?!
