Don’t Change is an all-time great that will make for a fun cover.  A solid choice.

Nice song list AV Club and congrats on the Editor-in-Chief job, Ms. Chavez. The St. Joe Strummer line in “Constructive Summer” rang pretty true for me when the record came out. I’m looking forward to seeing who sings it. Also, if GWAR covered “Naked as We Came,” that would be pretty funny.

I don’t think the point of the feature is to highlight the best bands of any country.

Truth? The new ownership loved the original incarnation of the site, and the current editors believe in the concept of “standing on the shoulders of giants.” They’ve endured the G/O era, they’ve got good writers who were stymied by the requirements placed upon them by the previous ownership, and I truly believe that…

Will the old comments be preserved? Some of them are really valuable archives that I would hate to see disappear. The comments on Zack Handlen’s Star Trek TNG and DS9 reviews, for example, are often even more entertaining/informative than the reviews themselves.

Almost any B-52s album would have been a terrific choice, but there is just something so bubbly and vibrant about their last album Funplex that it always appears in my car USB rotation when warm weather rolls around.
