While there are plenty of cheaper cars with ugly interiors, you get what you pay for. The interior that is truly the worst is going to be awful in a vehicle that charges you a pile of money. Imagine spending over $60,000 and then being confronted daily with this:

So, when is the DCCC going to hire a former republican politician to run it to show that the Dems are willing to reach across the aisle?

We don’t need more roads. More roads creates more traffic, not reduced travel time. It’s called “induced demand.” We need to take those hundreds of millions subsidizing the automobile industry with urban highway expansion and channel it into subsidizing public transport.

In rhetoric, this stance is called the ‘principle of charity’ and is considered basic to sound argument. You begin thus: a) assume your opponent is a decent human being, arguing their position in good faith; and b) address the strongest form of their argument, even if that means supplying some of the premises and

I assume you mean in your closing, “The real question [For Ezra]to ask is: What happens when the next Paul Ryan comes along?”

But Ezra Klein in the very article this is about closes with:

“Sooner or later, Trump’s presidency will end, and there will come a new generation of Republicans who want to separate themselves

So, Ezra Klein. Not my favorite, dude. Maybe a bit of a hack.

Exactly! Everyone completely shat all over them for saying that Trump had a solid chance of winning, and even now people are trying to slam Silver for accounting for the uncertainty around the lack of polling in the rust belt states in his model. It’s bizarre. I guess everyone is just really fucking angry?

What kills me is back in 2016 when 538 was saying “Hey guys, you definitely don’t have this in the bag, this is way closer than you think” people were shrieking that they were just fear-mongering for clicks. Then after the election it turned into “nice going, fuckwad.”

All 141 of those feckless assholes will now go on to have lucrative careers as lobbyists or similar parasites at the expense of America and our democracy

Don´t-know-why I´ve found this old post... and as a GTI MK IV driver myself, I have the exact same thoughts

I agree but isn’t this particular movie a true story? I don’t think it belongs quite in the same category because it was Kumail’s real life experience with his current partner and not a fictional creation. Thoughts?

I’m glad the rest of the world is finally figuring out he’s a 61 year old edge lord with nothing meaningful to say.

Punters are people too :(

Oh my God. Stop pretending to care about the safety of women. If you really cared about the safety of women, you’d open more Planned Parenthood clinics so women can have access to health care, birth control and safe abortions!

I’m totally ok with Jimmy broadcasting fluff. Escapism is important. It did bother me that he brought on the fascist trying to destroy our country and essentially signaled “This man is harmless fluff.” If he’s going to be fluff, don’t mix in people like that. I’ll watch wheel of impressions happily with less evil

This all seems like a pretty fair response? We don’t have any evidence that he would even be good at doing some sort of political humor/commentary. Its hard for me to fault someone when all they’re saying is “look I just want to do my style of comedy” on their own show.

A few thoughts...

Have they not heard the saying “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”? I have fairly comprehensive work insurance on top of my standard Canadian insurance. A part of my benefits package from work is discounts on fitness / health plans beyond medical, like gym memberships and even sporting goods. Lots of

This, COMPLETELY.
What, do Republicans think that the services performed in the ER are magically paid for by li’l baby Jesus? NO, MR. LABRADOR. They are funded by TAX DOLLARS.
Which is more expensive: dietary coaching and annual check-ups with a general practitioner, or a quadruple bypass?

“I was trying to explain that all hospitals are required by law to treat patients in need of emergency care regardless of their ability to pay and that the Republican plan does not change that,”
