Heh. It’s definitely been more than five thousand miles.

Some pictures really are worth a thousand words. Bravx.

God. I’m so sorry. Given that you met the Sheriff, that must add an extra sting.

You weren’t kidding about Halsey’s floral dress. It’s a whole garden.

“No ma’am, I said you’re overdue for an oil change.”

“Called” is a dogwhistle to religious nutters. Yuck.

That respect, that’s class. I’m glad Cooper got inducted and Russell was able to accept the honour in good conscience.

Ohh! Then I imagine it would get a much warmer reception. I love the stitch counters I’ve seen made with polymer clay. There was a set of rainbow ladybugs I was really tempted by. So cute!

Or pro-Nazi. I hear that’s her bag too.

I feel like the cross stitch would or should be embraced, because it’s a fibre art, and I think of Rav as being broadly fibre-friendly, but yeah, the clay probably wouldn’t get the love it deserves there. Craftster has a whole section dedicated to clay, but I have no idea what the community is like. They could be

I’m curious about that too. The definitions Google pulls up all position “race riot” as a conflict between races without specifics beyond that, but I can see how it could have black vs. white connotations, particularly in the US. At the very least, in more modern times, the word “riot” tends to be reserved for

Yeah...I could see if you were drunk and came up behind someone and didn’t immediately catch that it wasn’t your partner, but that excuse only goes so far. It sure as hell doesn’t cover cut panties or the need for a rape kit. That he also has charges against him for battery and cruelty to children is bulfighting

Good lord, 300 pages? Was his editor high on his own farts?

I’m assuming you’re probably not a knitter or crocheter, or you’d be on Ravelry, but in case I’m wrong, they’re worth checking out. Rav’s been pretty decent about not being shitty, unlike FB, and there are good, organic communities there.

There is nothing inherently valuable about a hymen except that men have constructed a society where they can make women’s body parts a rare commodity that is theirs for the taking.

Hey, cool! I don’t think I’ve ever talked to anyone who also had a septate hymen. I didn’t find out what it was until I was in my late 20s. Someone posted a jpg of a bunch of different kinds of hymens, and I saw mine in the list and got really excited, because it meant I was actually normal, lol. How did you find out

I was sexually active for two years before I cut my hymen myself. I had what’s called a septate hymen, meaning there was a little strap of tissue running diagonally across the vaginal opening. One side was bigger than the other, and it was honestly excruciatingly painful if I tried to remove a tampon on the wrong side

I hear you. I’ve been here for about the same length of time (this is my second handle), and while the passage of authors and commenters was always sad, at least there was a continuous thread that kept the community alive, and a place to return to. Someone described the sites as being a Jenga tower, and as I watch it

Maury’s lie detector would burn out if it was in the White House for a day, I swear.

Now I wish there were visual examples of each of these sartorial categories!
