Not to be a downer, but is fighting a ticket like this really worth the time and effort? Unless loud exhaust fines are significantly higher than I thought they were, it seems like the combination of lawyer fees and the time you’d have to spend dealing with this would quickly make it not worth it.

If this was an 86, where they only made 200 of the Aerocoupes for NASCAR, it would be worth that. But from the factory the only thing good about this car was its looks. A clean factory SS is in the 6-9K range these days. I’d say this Aerocoupe worth 12K on a good day, while drunk after watching Days of Thunder.
Guess that’s why I see a lot of retired people in big-ass SUV’s, too. Me, I’m still a hold out at 69 driving an RX7 and a TR8.
I own an AR80 - I call mine the ‘world’s tallest midget’. I started making go-fast mods and one thing lead to another and now I have an AR80 that would put a Corolla to shame in a drag race. (honest snark)
