I agree that that is a super helpful way to go about it. I moved across the country about 3 years ago and took with me only what fit into my Corolla (including my kitteh). Somehow I still have a bunch of crap I don't need or don't use anymore (including a sewing machine haha). On top of that, I usually go through my

That sounds like it has been really beneficial. Thanks for listing the positive benefits. Do you have a partner, and if so, did you have to convince him/her to do it? A little backstory: When my husband and I moved in together, he downsized from a 3000 sq ft home to our 1000 sq ft apt. I upsized from my 450 ft studio.

Happy Saturday, everyone! Do any of you have experience seriously downsizing/minimizing? I'm feeling the itch to ditch most of my stuff and live very simply somewhere very beautiful. Now I just need to convince my husband... Any thoughts? Experience? Anecdotes?

The only thing better would be a sunscreen spray booth at the beach or pool! As a pale, I dream of that!

I'm a pale strawberry blonde and I need sunscreen like I need air to breathe and water to drink. I burn very easily without and have a history of melanoma in the family. It sucks, but I'm so glad sunscreen exists as it's saved me from either life as a hermit or extreme sun damage.

You can always put a pillow under your face too... You may fall, but it's a short distance. It also helps to start by lifting one foot at a time and testing putting the weight into the hands.. keep the hands shoulder-width apart, fingers spread wide, and elbows hugged in. Look slightly ahead of you at the ground. At

In yoga we call that "pratayahara". It's an esoteric way of saying "mind yo damn business." :)
