As someone who worked in games in various roles, this is a very well thought out article. And the people responding with “no” or “lolno”, have either not worked in games, or weren’t passionate about the projects they were on.

Uh, you cheat in an online competitive game you do it at your own risk, if you get banned well, that’s your fault. If the ban is unfair you can appeal the decision. Also why would anyone ban people if they cheat in “offline mode”?

I main Symmetra on defense, and she’s more support/trap than healer. She doesn’t heal, just shields. If you set up a good trap room, or get some decent kills with her beam or orbs, you can get a decent PotG.

I’m actually really curious how the game decides who gets play of the game. I had a match as Pharah where I obliterated almost the entire opposing team with her ultimate rocket attack, play of the game went to Junkrat killing 3 people with his exploding tire...

I’ve gotten PotG a few times as healer, playing Symmetra, she is the only healer I have managed it with. I spent hours once trying with the other but it just seems impossible.

While healing and support characters in general may be crucial to steamrolling the other team, they don’t make for exciting PotG. I like Mercy and played her a few times in the Beta with friends who were maining tanks. I had some quality death saving/capture point keeping heals, and wouldn’t expect them to show up on…

The bad enemy teams will absolutely ignore you and for the next 10 minutes you’re basically a god on the map. The good enemy teams make your life a living hell the second they see that you exist. :(

Sadly this is nothing new, and nothing that’s going to change anytime soon. Due to the anonymity of XBL, there are people who feel they can get away with this kind of toxic behavior, and in a lot of cases they do.

Agree, and my understanding is that they are foregoing the Spidey origin story in Captain America: Civil War.

The same complaint and entreaty can be made for Spidey in the Marvel universe. Every kid these days knows how Spidey got his powers and lost his uncle. Nearly every parent and grandparent grew up with Spidey and can tell you every movie and show they’ve seen with HIS origin.
