As someone who worked in games in various roles, this is a very well thought out article. And the people responding with “no” or “lolno”, have either not worked in games, or weren’t passionate about the projects they were on.

My favorite Optimus is still my 20th anniversary version, but damn that metallic finish is sexy. I’d get this, it’s still better than the MB movie version.
It would be cool to see PotG evolve to the point where someone assisting said play gets recognition. There could be joint PotG, eg. Ana boosts Genji and he goes nuts and gets a team kill. During the PotG intro, both characters can be displayed with adjusted intro animations, or combined intro animations.
All of the “people have been distracted since the advent of motorized transport” aside, I’m really impressed with the kid driving. He did something stupid, realized it, owned it, apologized for it, and will deal with the consequences.
I wanted to say that your article title was click-bait in it’s purest form. I wanted to say you’re wrong, and that you’re speaking hyperbolically. I want to say anyone wandering aimlessly, pointing their phone at things or people, would receive the same attention.
Does anyone have an image of the intersection? Because this sentence hurts my head:
What’s to be conflicted about? Did you kill someone at 16 that still haunts you?
I find this a lot. The game is very frustrating if you don’t have a team that communicates, and/or pays attention to the team makeup. Most of my friends did not buy the game so, at most, I have two people in my party some nights. Normally it’s just me and the assorted player personas you run across, top three included…
Yeah...a good Genji is obnoxious as hell. While a bad Genji is a delight to kill. I’ve seen a handful of good Genjis, but that’s it.
I hope it ends up being better than this. The running commentary from the main character is annoying and cringe-worthy. The animations look rough, I know it’s a little thing, but the draw back and firing of the bow looks really awful.
That skin looks too much like the Demoman from TF2, can’t wear it.
At the same time, I dislike the popularity contest aspect of it, because it’s not really team-spirited. Maybe I’m just salty about all the times I played fantastic rounds as a healer only to not get voted a single time by my peers. What the hell, guys?
I main Symmetra on defense, and she’s more support/trap than healer. She doesn’t heal, just shields. If you set up a good trap room, or get some decent kills with her beam or orbs, you can get a decent PotG.
Yup, this. I’ll ignore DPS 99% of the time if I see them getting the golden lasso.
While healing and support characters in general may be crucial to steamrolling the other team, they don’t make for exciting PotG. I like Mercy and played her a few times in the Beta with friends who were maining tanks. I had some quality death saving/capture point keeping heals, and wouldn’t expect them to show up on…
Way to reinforce the feeling of social anxiety, regardless of what you look like, or your stature. This is the worst kind of television. I’m sure I wouldn’t have handled it as well as you did.
I’ve never felt more meh about a CoD game. Maybe I’ve finally broken the cycle...
Why is this surprising? Even the “men” who wrote the tweets would not be comfortable reading what they posted out loud. The anonymity of the internet lends itself to this awful, hateful, behavior.
