About anywhere that I can think I could use a savory whipped cream, there’s other choices I’d take instead. Regular cream is a neutral flavour, but with savory dishes, I normally would use something with a less neutral more developed flavour like creme fraiche, sour cream, a spreadable cheese ect.

Just get McDonald’s Canada to do it again. The hot pepper McChikens were pretty good.

It’s a marketing thing. The perception is more expensive = better quality”. Though dark meat would make juicier tastier nugs, the uninformed majority have already been told that “all white meat” is the gold standard for anything chicken.

It’s good that they suspended him. Think of what playing basketball could do to the baby.

It’s not gender related. If you want equal pay, you start watching their games. The money comes from ticket sales and viewership. The MLS (an American soccer league) and the BPL (a European soccer league) is an example. MLS players get paid drastically less. The narrative is wrong because it says unequal pay happens

Chinese here. The secret menu Chinese food that you normally see us eating is just something a little more proper. We still eat the “white people” Chinese food too, but it is more akin to fast food.

It might help to include nutrition info of the entire package next to the per serving info.

My main issue is not being able to figure volume to weight when I’m in front of the deli counter. Like my brain just shuts off and tells me to order a rounded number, like ~200 grams or half pound or whatever, and only after seeing it, I realize I’ve asked for too much.

I suspect it’s not a low risk. With people arguing about things that ride the line between gambling and not and the nuances of it, Rockstar slapping a literal casino into the game wouldn’t have much of an argument to say it’s not gambling in a video game.

The unwaxed compressed paper containers are biodegradable though. We’ve got food waste/yard clipping bins in Vancouver at least. Not sure what it’s like in other places, so they either go in there or just our own compost.

A lot of places do seem to be making the move towards compressed paper takeout containers at least. The majority of the places I get takeout these days don’t come in foam / plastic containers anymore.

That sounds a lot like TVPs, that are already found in cheap meat patties (dollar stores, gas stations, ect).

I suppose it’s like Arby’s meat carrot. Someone who hates carrots, wouldn’t want to emulate the carrot eating experience regardless of what it’s made out of. I’d suspect a lot of vegetarians and vegans aren’t interested in a product that emulates well something that they don’t eat.

They’ve missed the mark on this. It makes sense that something that is supposed to end up in the garbage be biodegradable, but toys ideally are made to last. I’ll support making the toys out of recyclable plastic, but toys shouldn’t just turn into a mound of dirt after putting them in storage for a few years.

From the people I’ve talked to, they’re eating it so they can see what all the fuss is about, as a talking point, but that’s about it.

Don’t forget the book deals! There’s always a book deal.

It’s like going into a library and asking, “I can’t remember the name, but I think it had a red cover.”

That sounds like just eating vegetables, but with extra steps.

Random junk from a restaurant that, once sitting down, was apparent it was going under. Everything was stale, likely because they hadn’t been getting any business to have a proper turnover of their ingredients. Even the croutons on the salad tasted off. This seemed like an amazing achievement to me, with it being an
