Nope. Never tried it on a bath towel but baking soda usually removes smells from most things. I’d guess probably soak it in baking soda water before you chuck it in the wash. If all else fails, I’m sure google will have some way to do it.

Boil them every now and then with a spoon of baking soda. Gets rid of that nasty towel smell too.

It really depends on the type of waste in the landfill. I’m sure it’s perfectly fine. For sure, someone would test some of the crop to see if there was any contaminants in it anyways, at the very least as part of marketing to get the public to buy into it.
