Umrguy42: Add $5 for shipping and handling

For the Seattle area they’re in at this mileage (half of yours), that is a good deal. More than enough families who can snatch that up for cash for their kids first car or next DD. The CL add is already gone for it.

What do you expect? 43 years ago, the man didn’t know the difference between distance and speed, and the ability to process stuff about flying doesn’t improve with age. If you go back and look, Peter Mayhew did 99% of the flying back then. Ford was just there to shoot bounty hunters that liked wearing high heels.

Look. I like Jalopnik, and most of the authors. But none of you are pilots, as far as I can tell, and it really shows.

You know how many times I’ve seen people cross the active when they’re not supposed to, especially at municipal airports? How many times I’ve misheard ATC and been corrected by my co-pilot, or vice

He landed on a golf course because he had an engine out: to land a PT-22 on a golf course (a fairway is much shorter and narrower than a runway) with no option to go around and no kill yourself or anyone else? Pretty damn good pilot. Also this happened years ago, why all of a sudden now?

Just curious what you’re seeing. I see a little scrape on the rocker and a poppable door ding. And maybe a dent in the right fender. If it was a squished quarter panel, I’d probably agree. Still, this is totally a nice beater to keep the miles (and salt) off the toys so I’m not sure I’d care about a few battle scars.

Ha

The ad notes that it sports a mere 67,000 miles on the clock and that it comes with “service records.”

I mean, in at-will state, an employer can fire you for any reason they like. They can fire you because you wore the wrong color shirt, because you drove the wrong car, or because you happened to do adult entertainment on the side. As long as it doesn’t run afoul of employment laws, they’re in the clear.

But I also drive my cars for a long time. The risk of a longer-dated loan is really in the earlier years if you decide to sell or trade it. If the intent is to drive it until it’s paid off then these programs are outstanding.

It’s easier to digest if you accept the article for its intended audience: new car buyers who still can’t calculate a total purchase price, falsely believing that lower payments will allow them to buy more car than they can actually afford.

You are right that a dollar today is worth more than tomorrows, so why give up today’s dollar when you can give the lender a dollar tomorrow that is worth less.

The depreciation only matters if you plan to sell the car, or if it gets totaled. GAP insurance fixes the latter problem.

Yeah, I remember seeing BAE advertising this and thinking, “Wait, we are SAYING we can do this? What can we actually do?”

When I saw the first two I thought this whole article was just going to be to troll David Tracy and his Jeeps.

Now playing

I’ve watched an F-117 fly and it’s hard to track. I know what the plane looks like, but the weird angles of the plane fool me into thinking it is going one way when it was going the other. Just before it was revealed, I remember there being a lot of UFO reports of flying saucers that end up being F117s flying towards

Stop sparring with your readers. People hate your sister sites for that shit. Don’t ruin Jalopnik, too.

You wrote a lengthy post about how NYC residents, yourself very much included, should have masses of city streets closed for their benefit, as it it is something they deserve, or should have a right to under the current circumstances.

Didn’t several Navy pilots explain how the relative motion of the plane to the object to the horizon, along with some quirks of FLIR, could explain the perception of incredible speed and maneuverability? Because there isn’t even theoretical explanation for the physics of a machine doing that, and honestly... aliens?

I feel like all the names of the videos explain the why the objects seem foreign. Maybe they use them as training to show pilots how different systems can effect what you are seeing. I assume all the "truther" guys like that pilot just want attention and money. Just my opinion though.

That explains the shape, then. Thanks. It’s interesting the pilots didn’t realize that though and assumed it had rotated considering they probably use these systems all the time.
