I’ll be honest, I didn’t really like Nichijou as a whole. It was just TOO random. I like various bits and pieces, but not all together.

Yeah, really, Bebop/Champloo/Dandy. “Do you like space bounty hunters, ronin, or wacky space hijinks?” Any or all are good options for that.
I’ve given that some real thought off and on, as I’m coming up on the time when I want to buy a new car for myself - I’d’ve done sooner, but I think I want that new AWD Camry (I need a reliable DD, and I live in the snowbelt) which appears to be scarce around here at the moment, and then while my job has so far been…
I dunno, I couldn’t get the animation above to play. I had to see about finding it on my own, and found their YouTube version (at least I think it’s the same one) in Supercinemascope or whatever:
I’ve seen at least 2 Jeeps around here that have that cover. I admit, I got a chuckle out of it the first time I saw it.
Definite Crack Pipe at that price.
Nah, I don’t know about that. Kinja has long found new ways of being terrible even before Herb took over things. Which is a shame, because there’s actually some things about it I’ve kind of grown to like while writing up some stuff for other “communities” (or whatever you want to call ‘em) here.
I know a couple (worked with the guy for a few years) who met through WoW. She too was originally from WV, although I don’t know for sure if that’s where she was right before moving up here.
SpaceX’s lunar lander designer in action:
Yeah, the head gasket thing would be my main worry, but otherwise seemed a decent price to this non-Subie owner in the snow belt who might be interested in such a specimen as a winter beater (or possibly as a winter beater for my wife), for which a few dings in the body work wouldn’t bother me...
Hell, if runway incursions weren’t such a big problem, I wouldn’t have wound up doing a 6 month contract with a company that was working on the FAA’s Runway Status Lights project (or one of them?) that’s supposed to have automated control of lights to signal to pilots when they should hold up, even if they’ve gotten…
Yeah, we need the Orlove(?) Beetle rollover here too.
Yeah, I mean, I don’t think it was necessarily an adaptive stealth thing, I suspect it’s more like “flying wing is thin at certain angles” and then I couldn’t find it out the car windows, but still.
I don’t know about Navy pilots, but somebody else here in the comments has been linking some YouTube videos by a Mick West that talk about pretty much what you said for the “GOFAST” one, as well as another one on why GIMBAL (GIMBLE?) could be glare or some similar camera artifact.
I mean, I was in a car, so big grains of salt, but I was riding with some folks on I-70 about 20 years ago near Whiteman AFB, and I’m looking out the windows (since I’m in the back seat), and I spot a B-2 flying roughly towards us. Which, again, we were near Whiteman, the B-2 was known at this point, so not a big…
Seems a little funky for glare, but not impossible, and the de-rotation explanation definitely makes for a plausible explanation of whatever it was and why it seemed to rotate.
I mean, connotation/denotation and all, “UFO” has come to denote “alien spacecraft” in the general public’s vernacular.
“Hey Bim!”
They’ve already one it, I get the occasional ‘take a survey’ (or similar) pop-ups on some articles too.
