I tried Jacks once or twice, typically stick with Tombstone Supreme + more pepperoni.

Not pouring, but there have been so many times when my now 6-year-old lifts his cup up and it looks like he’s just barely hanging onto it with his fingertips, and I’m all like “hold it RIGHT so it doesn’t SPILL!”....

As a born and bred Cardinals fan, I didn’t care how happy it would make some of my friends, but I was totally rooting for the Indians over the Cubs, and was disappointed when the Cubs managed to win the World Series. (Especially since I had to stop using the “things that are close to the last Cubs’ World Series

I can’t stand those D pillars.

As a still-embittered (former) St. Louisan... I can only hope so.

Well, I’m not quite as up on the thoughts and feelings in my old hometown, not living there any more, but the NFL and Toupee Boy have poisoned the St. Louis waters for at least a few more years, to the point where the locals just last year or so shot down (via voting on a land or tax issue or similar) a thing that

Yeah, that’s one of my issues with them. Pizza Hut by me closed a few months ago, and no Papa Johns, so I’ve had to do Domino’s for delivery, and their specials are like $7 each for 2 or more of various options.

I got the same email once. I was like “...okay. Sure” and ordered free pizza a week or two later.

Yeah, looking at the little weird hop he took right at the base (at least, that’s how it looks to me) with the foot ‘drag’ up in the air... seems like it’d be just as chancy to hurt himself as the first baseman...

Damn straight. Natural gas is *expensive*, yo. I close up the bedroom tight, put on a little electric heater, and have the electric blanket, and hope for the best.

My personal favorite are the sites that send you a USPS tracking #, except they’re shipping it via some OTHER carrier first TO USPS for the final delivery (e.g., they ship to your local post office), and don’t give you THAT tracking #... so it’s sitting at like “tracking number generated” or “waiting on package from

Yep, pajama pants and tshirts for fall, winter, and into spring here. Swap the pants for athletic-type shorts for me when it’s warmer.

Hell, even Wal-mart’s usually got an okay selection. (Wound up shopping for the wand/head thing 6 months ago or so when I finally got the cast off of my broken ankle and could start showering again, and realized it would work better if I could hold the shower head in my hands while I sat on a stool in the tub. Went

Some friends of ours have a house with a long driveway that slopes down, and has drainage ditches like this on both sides right near the end of the driveway just before the street. I *hate* trying to back out (and won’t even try in snow). We usually just park in the church lot behind their house and traipse through

You can feel a little run-down, achey, etc. for a day or so. Pretty normal, but (combined with not the greatest night’s sleep for me), I was feeling it. It’s not really a big deal unless it goes on for multiple days.

Well, I’ve never been opposed (my wife and son get ‘em every year), I just couldn’t be bothered typically, and been lucky enough to not get the flu. But after breaking my ankle this past March, and having no sick days left for work, I figured I’d better get the shot just in case, improving my odds, all that kind of

In my mind, she looks like she can’t believe she’s stuck with the bozo next to her.

Went in for a physical last week (for the first time in forever), and got my first-ever flu shot. The nurse who gave me the shot was fantastic, I barely felt even a pinch. (She definitely gave it to me, my upper arm hurt for a day or two after, and the vaccine was kicking my butt for a day ;p)

I may be wrong, but I think Warren Buffet was in favor of when InBev bought Anheuser-Busch, which as the buyout of one of the remaining major locally-owned companies of my hometown kinda ticked me off, so, y’know, I take issue with that (if it’s correct).
