The “her body was so cold” line threw me too. I think it was supposed to. I like your theory about Dr. Ito brainwashing Henry Sr. though.

Allow me to point out that in the first season alone we already have three mother killings, not onscreen but referenced.

Beth’s super smart and I’m hoping She’s probably doing exactly taht (training with Chuck) without the others knowing for fear of being a eventual liability.

Holy cow! What a gut punch of an ending!

I’ve been watching this with my mom, who enjoys movies/shows based on comics but is not a comics fan, and her acceptance of Starman as Courtney’s dad and genuine confusion when I was like “No way in hell” was definitely an “Aw, Mom” moment.

I agree with you that he needs to stay dead; it will feel so cheap otherwise. Also, the deaths in this show so far have done a lot to drive home exactly how ruthless the ISA (and Icicle in particular [seriously, him freezing Wizard so casually was a real “oh, fuck” moment]) is.

Not to mention Rick calling Henry Jr. an “asshole” in the cafeteria scene.

I’m guessing Rick calling Henry Jr. an asshole isn’t going to make it into the CW cut...

I loved that the waitress from the diner was basically playing matchmaker because she says they only have 1 banana left and then the banana split Pat and Barbara are sharing totally has 2.

Awww, I love that your daughter is watching it with you!

Oh yeah, she’s an adorable kid but she is insufferable frequently. And Rick is just a big ball of hormones & rage, which is not so great for the strategic plans!

I’m getting tired of thinking, “damnit Courtney, shut up” or “damnit Courtney, don’t do that,” but it is exactly what I should be thinking because she’s a teenager and actually acting like one.

Great show and an actual series that mt 10 year old daughter and I can both enjoy. She watched this episode before me and I was wondering why she was a bit sad about it. Now I now.

Also, is it possible that the curved hallway tunnel is actually Star Labs retrofitted to the show? It looks like it minus the faux brick

I could’ve said the exact same thing about Henry Jr. and his one note angsty acting in the past episodes, but he won me over in this one episode. I’d give Rick a shot. There’s more left to his arc.

At this point the most shocking twist would be if it somehow turns out Starman actually is her father.

Ok... rushed to this as the credits were rolling to scream “best episode!” As I read, I calmed down. Still really, really enjoyed this, but in that time I processed a few things.
- Yes to giving Amy Smart more to do.
- I’ve always enjoyed Luke Wilson, but this may be one of my favorite roles. Some might be it is the

Public Service Announcement for those watching STARGIRL on the CW: this week’s episode is listed as simply “Stargirl” in the FiOS program guide. Problem is my season-long DVR entry is under “DC’s Stargirl” (as prior episodes were listed), so it would have not recorded had I not noticed. Not sure if this applies to

I love how SMART the writing is on this show. Everyone feels like they’re reacting as their established characters would. (Which doesn’t always happen in shows; sometimes the plot drags the characters along, whereas here the characters are fighting against the plot).

Brainwave is a jerk. There, I said it

If you’re going to take a page out of Ego’s playbook, telling your son how you killed his mother right before asking him to join you is not the one I’d have gone with.
