The takeaway I got from this is that all of the vampires are pan-sexual nymphos. They’ll get it on with anybody, anywhere, even with each other as far as Lazlo sleeping with Nandor - except Colin Robinson.

I’m pretty sure he said something about MILF’s, haha!

Nadja’s emotions aren’t logical. As a woman I didn’t take it to be “women always be fighting with each other”, just as Nadja does what she wants and she isn’t sharing. Her temper is part of what I love.

(The close-up on Nandor’s face when Laszlo said, “I don’t know about you, old chap, but I have a raging hard-on!,” was hilarious.)

I would knock points off for the subject matter, but it’s rare to see dick jokes done this well. Finding out Nandor and Laszlo have an on-and-off friends with benefits situation was icing on the cake.

Well good for Guillermo in this episode, finding himself a new business opportunity. Maybe one day he can find a way to get himself turned.

Lucy Punch! It was a joy to see her turn up.

Today in missing scenes, the CW once again decides Barbara’s work life isn’t important.

Have we considered the possibility that the Cosmic Staff is the real villain here? It chooses a lonely, impulsive teenager and pushes her constantly. It comes to here room and pushes her to train. It blows up a villain’s kid’s car. It constantly backs her poor decision making, which convinces her that she’s on the

My son freaked out about the fact the the Helm of Fate was just sitting out there like it was nothing.

To hell with that, she took Johnny Thunder’s pen! That thing has a literal 5th-Dimensional genie in it!

Not just Jenny, the cast list on IMDb has her as Jenny Williams. Definitely either a gender-bent Jakeem or a relative.

Good news is that in Alan’s version of the origin, the lantern can instructs its wielder to make a new ring!

I think that is supposed to be part of his arc. He never really stands up for himself or asserts control. It wasn’t a lack of skill that kept him as a sidekick, it was a lack of self-confidence.

- I still think that Yolanda will be the queer character (if there is one).
- So Icicle is a fascist.
- I think that when the JSA defeats the guy who is running The American Dream, Icicle will try to replace him with Barbara. The question is, “Will he try to turn her into a villain?”
- Courtney has a picture of flowers

Excellent review!

Joke’s on her - it’s useless without a ring.

She took Alan Scott’s power lantern! I probably wouldn’t give that to a random high school kid.

Based on what I’ve seen so far, there’s a reason Pat never upgraded to full hero.

So Pat gave Courtney a tour of the JSA’s super-cool headquarters as a way to try to convince her NOT to become a superhero? I guess you don’t have to be smart to be a mechanical genius, or a superhero sidekick
