Well, she’s always relied on stonewalling and feeding BS to people who would eat it up because of partisan politics, and for a lot of the time, it’s worked. Not this time, though. I think a lot of people got tired of it. Plus, a large section of the electorate has been dying for change from the establishment.

I think that a lot of her potential supporters (especially amongst younger voters) felt alienated because any attempt to discuss her imperfections was shouted down by her most ardent supporters.

But it’s totally beautiful.

Yeah, I saw a movie on election night to distract me.

No. Very different from Gravity.

Yes. Absolutely yes.

People want to rattle the person with the nuclear codes? Good idea.

Too late.

What is the goal of these protests?

Or some of the other large cities.

This school was likely specifically chosen by these parents (probably to great expense I would imagine), because of their belief systems, and you then demonized them to their own children with the idea that they must be angry or intolerant to believe the things that they do.

That said, I really do find it odd that people find my description of Trump voters as “angry” problematic, given that many of them self-describe that way.

Seriously. Seems like an asshole letter to me.

Don’t tell them why they’re wrong, how you aren’t racist, how it will all be okay, how it’s really only other people who ought to be scared.

I have been thinking about this a lot today as a young white woman. I wanted Hillary Clinton to win because she was the most competent person running for President.

The Hillary supporters have made clear over and over and over again that nothing is ever Queen Hillary’s fault. Nothing.

perhaps we should look within our party and not merely write off people voting otherwise as irredeemable.

The Republican Party is quite literally dying, and if they continue down the path they’re on they have no electoral future.

Hillary Clinton could have been the world’s most inspiring candidate and it would not have mattered.

Yeah. These past few elections have taught me that white liberals don’t care about racism unless it keeps them from getting what they want. If they can use it to their advantage, though? They’re totally cool with it and will just sweep it under the carpet and duck questions about it.
