Tell you what. Whatever gun is used in a mass shooting, ban it. Then we can just go down the line after each shooting and stop wasting time over pedantic arguments.

LMAO, beautiful

Well. Any hopes of feeling any comfort today has been ruined for me and whomever happened to have passed by my desk at this moment.

The real story here is that this women found a worm in her eye, and then WAITED UNTIL FOUR MORE WORMS CAME OUT BEFORE SHE SAW A DOCTOR. WHAT THE HELL, LADY?!?

I love how everyone here just assumes every breeder is unethical. And the stories from people here make me believe they really didn’t get it from a breeder and rather a flyer ad from their local grocery store.

There’s nothing wrong with getting a purebred if it’s for a genuine love of the breed. Too many dog owners jump on whatever is the popular breed at the time and spur backyard breeders to start churning out puppies.

I think there is a lot of understanding that needs to take place about responsible breeders and puppy mills.

People feel the need to make snide remarks to me all the time when they ask if my dog is purebred (yes, GSD) and where I got him (my ex bf got him from a breeder as a gift to me, I wanted a GSD I met as a volunteer at the Humane Society, but fell in love with the gift pupper nonetheless). So it wasn’t my choice, but

Or just let them do what they want and allow them to enjoy the dog they’ve chosen to buy. It is their money, and dog.

“Fully actualized dog”. Wow, now I’ve read everything.

I hope you and the breeder were in contact and they were aware of all of this?

A word of caution. Dog shows act as peer review, for better or worse. If a breeder is not showing their dogs, they may be breeding them because they, and no one else, thinks they have great genetics. I’d be wary of a breeder who doesnt show, if not in confirmation, then in agility, or obedience. You know who isn’t

My beautiful purebred says “Stick a cactus up your ass. Your stereotypes help noone.”

I’d never thought I’d see the day when there was elitism in owning a mutt. I thought that was something that was reserved for pure breed, Championed dog owners. As someone that has been in a family that has bred pure breed dogs, there is a lot of bias, bullshit, and misinformation in this article. You reserve a couple

The healthier bit is a complete myth. Healthier than irresponsibly bred dogs, yes. Than dogs responsibly bred to avoid recessive complications and diseases? Not on your life. There are plenty of good reasons to adopt a mutt, but this is jut horseshit people tell themselves to elevate their personal soapbox.

Well, selective breeding isn’t the same as GMO. We’ve been selectively breeding crops as long as we’ve been doing it with mammals, probably even longer. That said, people who are 100% against either thing are idiots. GMOs are fine and even beneficial if done responsibly and to be completely honest that exact same

That is not accurate, at least in the case of dachshunds, which were bred as working dogs to clear burrows of rodents and badgers. That’s why they are short-legged, wide-chested with long ears and long claws that make them good diggers. They certainly weren’t bred to be ‘funny and cute;’ if you have never dealt with a

And yet my purebred Labrador, who just passed away one tick from 15 years, was happy, healthy and fit right up until her last few months. But sure, let’s make some sweeping bullshit statements because you have an issue with people paying lots of money for dogs when really the issue is whackos and their insane Nazi

My purebred ridgeback is better behaved, quieter and better looking than your psychotic mutt who bites and barks at everyone. Sure feel good about adopting it, but have fun apologizing all the time for it and please dont bring it in public spaces.

Glad to see that the article itself is better written and less hysterical than the headline.
