Yeah that makes sense. I wouldn’t have minded if they changed/upgraded some aspects of the gameplay and kept the music and levels, but I guess it wouldn’t be a remake anymore. And would take considerably more effort to develop. This is like the 3rd or 4th or 5th upgraded re-release if you count next-gen/pc ports...…

To me all the entries in Metal Gear Solid have represented a gold standard for what cinematic action games can be for each generation. Man I’m going to miss that franchise.
