or pedestrians who can’t look up from the screen while blundering into traffic.
Pedestrians can’t put them down either.
Pedestrians can’t seem to put them down either. Lots of people are walking in front of cars while on the snap face.
I’m just amused that these guys can pontificate for hours about the subtle differences in side-window-dimensions on a precise definition of a “shooting brake”, then not give a flip about the simple fact that there were NO color video cameras of any type available to consumers in 1968. Just. Seems. Weird.
It’s not the headline that bothers me as that’s usually not the domain of the article’s author. It’s the fact that he calls it a video camera in the body of the article AND THEN mentions that it takes a Kodak Super-8 film.
That’s not a video camera. Video is an image saved onto magnetic tape, or a digital medium.
Video is the conversion of visual images into an electric signal. That signal gets strung out (at very high speeds) and is used to ‘repaint’ the image at the receiver side, line by line in just fractions of a second, refreshed dozens of times per second...
Since it uses 8 mm movie film, it is properly called a home movie camera.
It really has nothing to do with the car. It has more to do with where the car was built and the importance of that car and car plant to the area.
“GM kind of ruined them”
Hey New Yorkers, you live in a rundown 1920th century city.
The subways are a huge issue for New York City. The mayor of New York City doesn't appear to be doing much to try and get the state and governor to do anything about it. It's not under his direct control, but he sure as hell doesn't seem to be trying to do anything about it as the most visible make in America.
Hey New Yorkers, you live in a rundown 20th century city.
Not sure what the point of this was. Just because he doesn’t have power over the MTA doesn’t mean he’s powerless to fix the subways. Part of being a politician is being able to schmooze with other politicians. If he cared about the subway he’d have cozied up to Governor Cuomo a long time ago.

275 SUCKS.
Just drove through Denver on I-70 on the way back from a ski trip, and I’ve got to roll my eyes at that one. Now, I don’t agree that Denver needs to widen it. It gets congested with Denver residents flocking to the mountains to ski on winter weekends (but more lanes isn’t going to fix that), but if you eliminate that…
At this point, I kind of welcome the Fallout future that awaits us.
I am waiting for somebody to just nuke the big cities and end all of this stupid shit.
