Who says this is an advice/solution column for you to feel better about your life? This doesn’t have anything to do with you, it’s just a woman telling a story.

I blame Eat Pray Love for this phenomenon.
Sorry, running away from your problems doesn’t actually make them go away.
I grew up in Italy, yet I still suffered from crippling depression. Should I have maybe moved to Cleveland?
I take very little from a solution to depression and anxiety that is largely out of reach for most people. With a family consisting of two little kids, I find it hard to gain inspiration from the privilege of being able to travel solo around the globe, dropping everything to find oneself. I need wisdom on how to get a…
Not just that, but how about those of us in the real world? I have bills, two kids, medical issues and a job I need to keep. Can’t exactly fit all THAT in a hipster backpack, can I.
Probably because doing an out-patient psych program is less fancy than travelling. Who wants to hear about the glorious architecture of the hospital and the sad windowless office of my therapist? A 1 1/2 year wait list. Honestly, the out-patient thing was wayyyyyy more productive than whatever travelling does.
I would love to read a story about how someone is dealing w/ their life issues w/o packing up and travelling to ‘find themselves’.
You are the greatest.
Have you tried summering on the continent?
My honest gut response to this article as someone who is struggling with issues, I feel like this is a very boastful article, I have zero sympathy for the writer, I guess this person was a fucking COUNSELOR Jesus Christ, this person would NEVER relate to my problems. I just don’t really understand the point of this…
And if they are taken away, so what? Most people in the world live their entire lives without ever touching a firearm. I just don’t get the pressing need people have to own guns (I exclude rural people owning a rifle from that statement after seeing my cousin having to shoot a rabid fox to protect his dog).
Congress has actually blocked the CDC and NIH from being able to study gun violence (even though 34000 Americans die per year).
OMG. All masturbatory, gun-loving posts irritate me, but these cutsie ones really get my goat.
No, they wouldn't need much processing, if any, depending on the size of the fish. The thing is that without cut marks, or other evidence (for example all fish skulls recovered from a site being crushed, but no other bones being similarly damaged), you cannot explicitly say that the fish were incorporated into the…
Again, the reference point for this thread was: "Researchers have found, for example, that hominids even 2.6 million years ago were eating the meat and bone marrow of antelopes; whether they were hunted or scavenged is hotly debated."
I pulled 6 from the article. About 2.6 is when stone tools start showing up in the record, which is when the debate over hunting v. scavenging really takes off. But 2.6 million years ago, hominids may not have been able to "talk." They may have been able to communicate, but it's possible they had very little…
Stop peddling psuedo-science. Horses sweat, they do not do so to allow themselves to hunt more game. In fact many animals sweat as a means of thermoregulation.

I definitely remember him from his M:TG work... here's a comprehensive list.
