You know, it’s a weird thing. I can barely stand to play any MOBAs, Overwatch, or anything else like that with randoms. People are just too toxic and shitty, like you said. But the last couple of weeks, what’s surprised me is that running dungeons in WoW with randoms has been a largely light, positive experience. I

That’s a lot of garbage!

That’s an interesting interview.

I’d argue in favor of Star Wars Galaxies’ housing system.

I’m also pretty curious about that. I have to expect they’ll trim down and optimize the game some for the Switch, otherwise those late game turns are going to chug.

I’ve always got the sense that he likes gaming, which is why he does the segment. He’s just not very good at it, and he’s not afraid to point out all of the ridiculous crap that exists in some of the games he hosts for a laugh (he is a show host/comedian, after all).

Yeah, it’s definitely more fun to read about than to play. Its reputation as a spreadsheet simulator is completely warranted.

“More of the same, and that’s great” is pretty much how I feel about it too. They’re not reinventing the wheel this go-around. The last few expansions have been pretty big shakeups, so it’s refreshing that they’re sticking to their guns on a few of the modern systems they’ve created and refining them, instead of

Hate when Life randomly bumps up the difficulty sometimes. Hang in there.

I did grab it yesterday, and I agree, it’s fantastic. It’s everything I hoped for.

Keep meaning to get back to this game, but I just haven’t. I think my problem is the idea of committing to a huge RPG while sitting at my computer sucks, so those are more games I like to play on a console so I can relax on the couch.

I’d love a spotify playlist of the music in this article...

Oh my god. Ninja Gaiden is my favorite game of all time. Something about the platforming flow of that game always stuck with me, couldn’t get enough of it when I was younger.

Reading the article helps. People did answer the door, she had already moved on to the next house.

Runescape has a long history of similar events. Way back in the day, they used to teleport botters and other cheaters to “The Black Hole”. When there, the botters couldn’t move, couldn’t see anything, and (most importantly) couldn’t teleport out. It became sort of a tourist attraction, and was eventually removed

Not a bad choice. Celeste is so, so good.

Normally I’d agree, but you’re right - this is the fifth incarnation of our lord and savior, SSB.

While I agree that someone panning or over-praising a game because of a prior bias is bad, I disagree deeply with your last paragraph. The purpose of a review isn’t to get everyone “excited and hyped for the game’s release because of the author’s encouragement”. The purpose is to provide a proper perspective on who

Agreed. One of the “You may also like” articles this morning was an “everything we know about the shooter” piece over on Splinter. I really wish that they’d led with a piece like this instead.

I’ve always seen tagging dongs as a thing that was funny when I was 8 years old, and never grew out of it. It’s just juvenile humor.
