Yeah, you’re right. Gosh, I was really shocked when I found out that Dwayne Johnson goes around staring at people and suplexing them afterwards, too.

Seems intellectually dishonest to label 389,000 as “assholes” on the basis that they tune in to watch a guy play video games.

When did I say I was giving money to rich people? The people I subscribe to with my free Twitch Prime subscription are usually smaller streamers who need the help. Same with the rare 2-3 dollar donation. Talking a few times a year, maybe. Probably spend more money going to the movies to see one film than I spend on

I mean, $5 for a sub is by far the most likely situation where people give a streamer money. That’s overwhelmingly where they make their income. It’s usually $2 or $3 to leave a donation and a comment, and the comment is what they’re paying for.

Somewhat new I guess. For a while now, people have been doing things like backing Kickstarters for video games in exchange for getting their name listed in the credits.

None, I’ve only watched his stream a couple of times. It’s not for me. It’s obviously for a lot of people though. He puts a lot of effort into his stream, the “Dr. Disrespect” character, and being good at the games he’s streaming. He’s good at his job, so he gets paid. That’s how the world works.

That’s a very thoughtful opinion.

Twitch is currently pulling more viewers on average than it ever has. I don’t think they’re in trouble.

He had a lot of viewers before because he was a generally entertaining streamer. He gained a lot more viewers when he returned, because someone at the top of the craft going out and then returning later in top form is an age-old storyline, and it’s compelling. It’s an interesting event in the Twitch storyline.

The heels are so much fun to watch though. If they’re good, you get to watch someone really skilled dominating a game. If they’re not, you get to watch an asshole lose.

What is the insane part of this story to you? The fact that an entertainer drew 389,000 viewers? That happens all the time. The fact that drama increased his success? That also happens all the time. There are entire TV shows built on that foundation.

I can’t tell if you’re serious.

As an aside, I rather like the open, sometimes contentious comments sections on this site. It’s usually a good balance between moderation and open commentary. So, try to use this system for people who are actually nonconstructive trolls, and not people who have an opposing opinion. There is a difference, and I’d

“It’s ironic that the *OOF*.. place most people meet each other *UNGH* ..is the place where it’s hardest to *AUGH*... *BARF*

I see what you’re saying, but normal e-sports events don’t draw nearly the viewership that the MLB, NFL, or NBA bring in.

An e-sports team is owned by a “real” sports team? Is that common? Kind of a funny arrangement.

It looks back on the entire history of your file, even before you got the DLC. There is a limit, though. I think it’s 200 hours of playtime before it starts erasing early data.

As far as I know, they didn’t patch out the super bouncing, but the increase to 60 FPS resolved most of them. They was some subtle bug between the collision detection and the 30 FPS framerate that allowed the classic super bounces.

Finding it hard to get excited about 3DS releases.

You could play more than text based games. Back in high school, we used to play Block Dude on TI-83 and TI-84 calculators. A few of my friends would also write small games on it using TI-BASIC. One of them actually made a turn-based RPG with cool attack animations, only problem was it would very quickly run the TI-83s
