The thing that always struck me as weird about the Wii U Earthbound Beginnings is that they kept the name Giegue for the final boss, rather than change it to Giygas. I suppose it’s because they took the unreleased NES game, changed the title screen, and didn’t think too much about it.

I assure you, Spiders-Man is something else entirely.

There are already two R-rated films set in the Spy Kids universe- 2010's Machete and its sequel, Machete Kills.

I think you meant October 31st, given that November only has 30 days. Also, that means it’s a Halloween release, which is cool.

On one hand, I feel that there is a legitimate discussion to be had on the nuances between digital piracy and the theft of physical goods. On the other hand, the fact that every time you see this discussion play out it inevitably attracts some pro-piracy arguments that are completely removed from reality and/or are

It’s a condition you can set that the player must fulfill before the level can be cleared. It could be something like “Collect 50 coins”, “Defeat 3 Hammer Bros.”, “Finish as Fire Mario”, etc. If the player gets to the goal without having fulfilled the condition, then the goal is blacked out with a dotted line and they

And how do you avoid having a group of four players play your expertly-designed solo level, tear right through it, and come away unimpressed?

Regarding the July 2nd heading, WILL: A Wonderful World is definitely already out on Switch and has been for some time. I assume that should just be for PS4?

They’ve explicitly said that Sword & Shield will not be able to import Pokémon from Home that are not in the Galar Pokédex. Presumably, as far as these games know, those Pokémon will simply not exist. Meaning that Pokémon Home exists so you can import your Pokémon from Bank and... look at them in a box or something.

So what’s interesting about that is that it’s explicitly referred to as a “Fairy Bottle”. Implying that you can have a bottled fairy, but not a consumable potion. Now, the original LA had the medicine, which filled the role that bottled fairies serve in the majority of games- a single auto-revive upon death. But since

OK, speculation time.

Well, kind of. It looks like you still have only two assignable buttons for items, but the sword and shield have dedicated buttons instead of being swappable (plus it looks like the A button is a generic pick up/interact/etc. button, removing the need to include the power bracelet as an assignable item). On one hand,

Intellectually, I know that if CT gets any representation in Smash then Crono will be the playable character. But I would love it if they did a Chrono Trigger reveal and it ended up being Ayla.

A physical release (along with a special edition) has already been confirmed. I’m hoping that the custom dungeon feature ends up being robust enough to add to the play time, but we’ll see.

It was Pikachu’s attack that caused the seizures, yet Porygon was the one that took the fall.

So here’s the part from the direct that has me annoyed about the game- the fact that you appear to be limited to a single Joy-Con for controller schemes. Maybe this is just when you’re in co-op and for Single Player you can use a Pro Controller, but I’m not optimistic. Did anything about the control options come up in

Nerfed in terms of the early-game, sure; but being able to get extra Leftovers and Earthquake TMs in the post-game was pretty great.

On one hand, as someone coming from paper Magic, I absolutely agree with the general line of thought that conceding when you’re dead on board is the way most players approach the game. There are a number of reasons for this, and some of them carry over from paper while others do not.

Adapting Detective Pikachu was a brilliant move for the live-action Pokémon outing. The fact that it’s a relatively obscure spin-off rather than something nearly every fan is intimately familiar with helps them be more flexible, as Justice Smith and others have noted. But I also think it’ll really help the movie’s

There’s a fan theory that N of Team Plasma is half-Zoroark. It’s... not impossible.
