Definitely agree with the final sentiment. Final Fantasy V is basically a do-over on III, and is better in every way.

Except that last part’s not actually true. In Red/Blue, Ditto can be found on several ordinary routes, and Cerulean Cave. It didn’t appear in Cinnabar Mansion until Yellow. Now, you could argue that this bit of lore wasn’t decided on until Yellow, which is fine given that Mew’s existence in the first games was secret…

Comfey, much like Florges & Friends before it, decides to incorporate a floral design without actually being a Grass type. I figured it was just because they wanted more mono-Fairies as the type was introduced, but now I wonder if it’s going to be a trend.

Pokémon in SSB draws heavily from the anime. And Goldeen flopping around uselessly was a fairly memorable moment in the second episode, so I'm assuming that's why it became the dud Pokémon. I agree, it definitely should have been Magikarp.

There’s something that bothers me about games that use an NES-scale pixelated aesthetic but then use colors and animations that would have never been possible on that system. Shovel Knight and Undertale I think did a good job keeping their visuals consistent, but most pixel games just feel off to me for that reason.

I haven’t been following the Pokémon Go development news that closely, but will it only have the original 151 Pokémon? I realize getting all 721 would be daunting, but I figured they’d spread it out some.

The best RPG for smartphones is probably The World Ends with You, since the original game was made for the DS with primarily touchscreen controls. It's actually a really good port, although for a while it was broken due to iOS updates. Hopefully the next one doesn't cause the same problems.

So Grodd was the character I was most disappointed about not making the DLC cut for the first game. That’s definitely a plus.

I wonder if they’re going to do a multiverse story again, or keep it in the Injustice universe. I hope it’s the former, given the number of characters who are dead in the Injustice universe…
