I don’t see how that’s the case. A lot of people’s faulty memories think of Bourque winning that cup after joining the team at the deadline but they’ve got it wrong. Bourque played for that Avs team all year, had a great season and a good playoffs. I don’t see how it’s in any way illegitimate. 

I blame congress more than Trump. If more than a handful of Republicans (most of whom either retired or were defeated by Democrats last year) had stood against Trump’s malfeasance it would have been ended very quickly. All congress has to do is override vetos, refuse to confirm incompetent officials, impeach people…

Considering the whole checks and balances was basically one big honor system this whole time, and considering how little honor our elected leaders have had throughout this nation’s history, it’s pretty remarkable it lasted this long.

It’s simultaneously hilarious and depressing as hell that the whole checks and balances system, that the US has touted for the last 230 years as the ultimate genius of the founding fathers, has been completely defeated by a President simply saying “no” repeatedly. 

The real story here is that the Bucks are really good, I feel like everyone is missing that.  oh well. 

He is at the bottom of all eligible players for BA, OPS and Slugging but still starting. THAT is how good his defense is.

I read the stories about how he spent the off-season talking to JD Martinez about hitting and studying with his personal team about it and thought it would unlock something. He was such a good hitter at South Carolina, he’s not a complete numpty with the bat.

very true, but then he’ll go on a 12 game hitting streak with like a .457 average, 6 doubles, a triple and 2 dingers. then he’ll have a month long slump hitting .097, but hoovering every ball within a 2 mile radius. dude is so baffling.

Whenever I use the trains, I buy my ticket right from the conductor. Or a 1 day freedom pass that allows me on trains, busses, trolleys and subways.

SEPTA doesn’t need any more help to get people to hate the service. Late busses, trains that don’t run late on weekends, etc. They do offer free pee stains in the bathrooms and in the hallways.

I see we in Philadelphia have boldy moved on from the token system to something much more refined. Up next:
