I like the Preakness. Usually a smaller better balanced field. Tighter turns puts a little different strategy into the race and not as much battering out of the gate, which I think provides a better indication of the talent. Justify may well repeat. I don’t think you can fairly judge this year’s crop off of this race. Conditions dictated the fast early pace that was unsustainable. After that the race broke down and the time was meaningless. Is Justify a great horse? Who knows? But he showed remarkable tactical speed today so maybe he is.
