I didn’t lift super heavy, but when I was doing DL for reps a lot more (3x5, 5x5) I was lifting in the mid-300s. Grip would occasionally come into play, but the real test for me was power cleans for reps. You could use a hook grip to help a bit there. I never could take the pain with hook grips and DLs.
