Yeah, the key (ha!) is to develop a solution that’s actually seamless, and not a pain in the ass.

I think the demand from this stems from people who don’t want to carry shit around.  For instance, I don’t carry a wallet or cash anymore.  My keys are the only thing that are still annoying to have to remember. Smart locks for homes are virtually to the point where I don’t have to worry about a physical key, and if

Why would anyone visit a city where homosexuality is illegal and the punishment could mean the death penalty? Or where you could be jailed for reporting a rape? Or where kissing in public might lead to deportation? Or where it is illegal to share a hotel room with the opposite sex? I could keep going.

Recently I have noticed a lot of people responding to text messages using the “Thumbs Up” emoji.

If you’re coming to kinja expecting actual well articulated and thought out answers for questions that could be easily Googled, instead of snide comments from the Deadspin folk, that’s on you.

That would have been an excellent detail to include in his initial question, then.

Most people will tell you there are no stupid questions, but...

Really?  I wear a size 12 and unless i’m going away for 2+ weeks I only travel with a duffel bag.  Generally I’ll wear a pair of sneakers and pack another one, plus either loafers or boat shoes if I need something “nice”.

I do this, and while I generally get laughed at (or at the very least, questioned), I feel great afterwards. Vacations with the wife, bachelor parties or guy trips, weekends away, whatever. At the very least I try to get a run in, but if there’s some sort of gym available that’s where you’ll find me every morning

Are you fucked?

August is for Peaches and Tomatoes and everything else can get the hell outa here!

they will let you substitute another side for fries in a combo, for a charge, of course

As a Canadian, this was the most excited we had been for a tennis match in some time - although, that’s partly due to becoming immune to being regularly treated to Federer/Nadal/Williams etc. over the last decade.

Still a small sample size - especially for Bo - but this core (including Gurriel Jr.) has the potential to be something special.

How many stars do you think this comment received from people who completely missed the joke?

It’s important to note too that in this model, where there’s an intermediary involved, the interchange is being split 3-ways. Visa/Mastercard are going to take the largest cut, and i’m assuming Apple is going to get the standard interchange they charge for using Apple Pay.  That doesn’t leave much for Goldman Sachs...

The bulk of the revenue from CC’s is derived from interchange. Interest fees help with profitability, and generally an ideal customer for a credit card company is one who is spending a lot and running a balance.

+1 for Wegmans subs. Their bread is fucking good.

Weird to hold onto a grudge from a 15 y/0 that happened almost 20 years ago but okay.
