I agree with you on this and do the same. My younger sibling has a severe nut allergy and we would just trade candy at the end of the night.  I don’t think this was ever an issue for my younger sibling or my parents, since there is usually a variety of different candy.

I was wondering what your period is like after this? My periods are terrible (not due to endo or PCOS) and I wonder if this would be a permanent way to resolve that. I wish the article would have went on as to what your periods are like (I’m assuming depending on whether you have endo, etc.). It would’ve been nice to

It’s so tough when you aren’t well to keep up with their care especially when the kids are still little. Mine are now 6 and it’s gotten easier since there are no bottles or diapers.

Yep. My kids are in kindergarten; and we’ve already got questions on why we celebrate certain holidays and not others. I think this mostly comes from the fact that their friends from school celebrate different holidays (Hanukkah, Diwali, Christmas, etc). The school’s holiday schedule is more geared towards Jewish

The article that you have here is on Moderna which is a different vaccine and is not the one discussed in this lifehacker article (or the one up for approval for kids).

Sorry one edit. The 1.8% of US population is assuming that the entire US population has covid (since this number just looked at death rate of those that already had covid).  This is just one aspect.  I think anyone doing safety and risk management would consider a bigger picture.

It’s 1.8%. Obviously folks are just rounding the 98.2% up instead of including the decimal.  Probably should round down.  Anyway 1.8% of 329 million is about 5.9 million deaths. Of course this is based on the data. I think it’s safe to logically assume that would be more if restrictions and such were lifted.

What I wish I had done was run the numbers based on my end of year taxes. If your income is pretty steady and you have the option of both, then you could use your traditional 401k contribution to lower your taxable income to the next tax bracket. Of course this depends how far you are from the next lower tax bracket

People said that!!! You had no choice but to leave them in the NICU!! What would have they done? Taken infants home that needed medical help and watched them suffer (and possibly die)? Ugh some people are just complete idiots.

We always wanted at least 2 kids. Had twins (I was 32 and hubby was 35 when we had them) and at first were done because daycare was so expensive. Our twins are heading to kindergarten in a couple months. We had been trying for a third for the last half year (we figured we could handle 3 in daycare for awhile). But we

Maybe you need to read your own source. I took a quick look at it and it’s a study of 200 people, which is a rather small sample size when consider the population that’s been infected with covid19. Plus the statistics presented are just based on that sample (no confidence interval). It seems like more work should be

Just like the cost of a pint of beer is the same cost across the US? I believe this is called cost of living is very different from one area to the next.

When and where was this? Last time I needed to discuss a bill (actually the hospital calling me to pre-pay for a procedure), the hospital’s billing department didn’t accept walk ins. I had asked the nurses about it and where do I go to talk to someone. They told me to call the billing department.

OOO Add that it can take up to 8 days (or whatever) for your breastmilk to come in. No one had told me this.

Just an FYI, it’s equally magical with formula.

Could your boss have been concerned about cross contamination? For example, if your baking peanut butter cookies and reusing the same sheet, that could cause cross contamination with the other non-peanut bake goods.

Could it be for cross contamination purposes? I re-use parchment paper for personal baking. But if I was baking for folks who had food allergies, I’d use fresh parchment paper. My younger brother has a severe allergy to peanuts. I wouldn’t reuse parchment paper that may be cross contaminated with peanuts because of

You can freeze lemons whole. I’ll buy them when they are on sale and wash them really good. Then I’ll put them in a freezer bag and put them in the freezer. When I need lemon zest, I’ll just zest a frozen lemon.  It’s easier to zest when frozen.

I agree. I travel for work and end up eating by myself, which isn’t bad. But I always enjoy eating with my husband. We always talk about the new things that we’ve tried (whether together or alone). It was one of the reasons why I married him.

Same here. These are cute ideas, but I’ve realized my limitations. I tried to do the same with photos of my twins every month with a theme. I definitely missed a slew of months, when I went back to work. And with the exception of maybe the first two months, I never got it on the same day.
